Received 5 star help here when I fell nearby and broke my patella. Very grateful to Steve and other staff. Thanks again.
What a fantastic place. The staff are truly excellent and I was really looked after with a bad sprained ankle. No queue today which was great. All the best to the staff and thank you again.
Took my father this afternoon, who was visiting us from Devon. In & out in 30 mins - fantastic service, this gem run is by nurses and should be rolled out across the country to take the pressure off GP surgeries & A&E departments.
Arrived with my son aged 12 , triaged after 2 hrs ! Nurse briefly looked at his injury , then stated another long wait for an X-ray , no Childrens triage area also , not enough staff triaging or X-ray radiologists not sure but people spread out all over the dept , receptionist also was quite rude . Not one smile on face , for a child in a minor injuries unit I would say this is extremely off putting . The nhs is built on firm foundations of helpfulness and paid for by the public , it’s like we were in the wrong for even turning up . Everyone needs to start picking up there pace and being more efficient . They also do not show waiting times on nhs app online .
Absolutely first class service from all the staff in the minor injuries department. I attended yesterday morning, my details were quickly taken, a wheelchair was provided for me because of my injury to my ankle by Angela on reception, then shortly after I was examined by a nurse Fion, I think her name was then I waited only a short time, before I was taken for an X-ray by Louise. Ten minutes later Fion told me the results. The whole visit took just over an hour. The staff are an absolute credit to the NHS.
I have to say 12 months ago I attended with my daughter and the nurse who attended was absolutely fantastic. On 22nd April I attended with a knee injury and once again the nursing staff and radiology staff were brilliant. However, I didn’t notice that I was meant to add my car reg no: stress of being in pain and trying to manage covid rules I’ve been sent a parking notice. I called the reception to ask if they could email me confirmation of my attendance and the admin who answered the phone has a terrible manner and attitude. Such a shame the service is let down by their front facing staff. I’ve been told to drive to the centre to make an unnecessary journey when a simple email could solve the issue. This mean I will need to again park and be admitted into the waiting area where machine are apparently located so I can get a confirmation slip of attendance of my previous attendance. Seems to be a joke in a time when we should be trying to reduce unnecessary contacts. Nursing staff keep up the brilliant work... admin staff I think need some further guidance and education
What a great facility! I have been there 3 times in the last fortnight with a leg injury/haematoma and have had the wound cleaned and dressed there this morning. The staff are lovely and there is hardly any wait. I have paid NI counts for over 40 years, yet could not be seen by my own health authority. The Welsh NHS need to learn lessons and start a similar clinic which would go some way to reduce the pressure on A&E in Wrexham and ensure people do not have to wait for very lengthy periods just to be seen. Thank You.
Had to use this unit after having an accident at work today. First class treatment from start to finish, informed all the way through of what was happening even down to the amount of pain to expect and pre booking my post consultation with nurse practitioner at my doctor's 77 miles away, excellent service
Very happy with the service I received here . All staff were welcoming and was quickly seen to for an X-ray . Thank you
For a small service that's run by nurses, this works really well. Just turn up and book in and you're usually seen within the hour. Unfortunately they're only there for a small range of injuries and conditions but the service is usually really good with polite, friendly and professional staff.
