I was quoted £410 to replace a faulty front door lock by another independent local company, so I phoned JCM and the guy on the phone got me to email pictures of the problem, he then phoned me back no more than 2 minutes after I'd sent the pictures and asked me to double check some of the locks functions, I did this over the phone and he then said he thinks the mechanism has marginally moved and if I take a particular part of the door lock off the door frame and pack 1mm - 2mm of cardboard or a spacer in the gap then it should fix the problem. The next day I did exactly that and yes it fixed the problem saving me over £400. This sort of customer service is unusual these days and hopefully this review will help others make a decision on which company to use. Highly recommended.

Immediately opened a lock to which the key had been lost and then provided a new key. Very pleasant and helpful service provided at a very reasonable price. Would strongly recommend on the basis of this experience.
Excellent service! I live quite far away and urgently needed some security keys cut for a rental property. This company spoke to me on the phone and arranged for my keys to be cut using the security code and then arranged for them to be posted to me via recorded delivery. It was such a fantastic service that I didn’t even need to make the trip to Surbiton. Thank you for providing such a great job ! Highly recommend.

Excellent service! I locked my keys in the Safe and batteries had died. Nightmare!!! as I needed my Apple Watch/Documents etc pronto. Tim at JCM and locksmiths magically opened the safe like a PRO. Now everything is great for me again
Very helpful people. I went to get a new lock for my mailbox. I lost the key. Their top tip: Make a note of the number on the key. They can then cut a new one. No need to replace the lock.
We got keys for old surface locks for restoration of period doors and some brass finger plates. Reasonable price and quick service. They know their stuff. All prices plus vat. A good display and stock of door n window furniture.
Really refreshing to find solid tradesman and shopkeepers who will do their best to fix what you have rather than trying to sell you a replacement without trying. Been here twice and both times they have been super helpful. today Jim spent half an hour stripping and fixing a lock from spares he had around. Highly recommend.
