Delicious and Affordable Fish & Chips at Kings I recently visited Kings Fish and Chips, and I was thoroughly impressed! The fish was large, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—not greasy or soaked in oil like you sometimes find. The chips were equally good, and the portion sizes were generous. What really stood out was the price—very affordable for such great quality. If you're looking for a tasty, traditional fish and chips meal that won't break the bank, I highly recommend stopping by Kings. I’ll definitely be returning!
Very disappointed, had recommended to family who were visiting as previous experiences had been good. They collected cod n chips and on opening at home discovered that it was obviously not fresh cod, unless of course cod are now square shaped. On cutting into was full of water, so clearly frozen, was inedible, will not be returning and cannot recommend.

Prices gone up portion size down... Someone purchased chips for me and couldn't believe the amount.
I checked opening times on the website before going. It said 'open until 9:00 p.m.' I arrived at 8:15 to see the lights on but found the door locked. I was 'told' by a blond female server who I had just observed picking at her hair, nose and lips - yes they were closed, but still.... that they were closed by her using a 'cutting' motion across her throat. If I wasn't 'forced' to give a star so I could post this, I would be giving none.
Nice tasting food but they seem to have chips rationed on portions. Sometimes it's only as many as finger and toes that you have, just got to hope I never have any amputated or the portions could be even smaller. Fish is always nice and fresh though. 9 months later and I got a more reasonable portion of chips- not as many as other chip shops but definitely a step in the right direction. I'll wait until I've seen if it was an aberration or an actual increase before changing from 3 stars, but if it seems like a permanent change I'll update the review to 4 stars. BTW the fish was very nice and freshly cooked.

This used to be the very best in the area but something has changed, the management or ownership but its not like it used to be, the fish are smaller and always grease and so are the chips, where as before the fish was always crispy well buttered and properly drained of all grease as where the chips, crisp and fluffy. Unfortunately I can only give kings three stars where as once it would of gotten five with ease. Sort it out Kings.
