At Kings DIY, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer friendly, personal service to every customer - we're a family-run local business, not a big faceless conglomerate, so you're never just a number to us! We have a huge range of products in stock, and even if we don't stock the item you're looking for, we can often order something in to suit; many special orders are available to collect the next day. While-you-wait services include paint mixing, key cutting, and timber cutting. We have several ongoing multi-buy deals on best-selling products (including composts, light bulbs, and water-softener salts, among others), plus a range of new seasonal special offers five or six times a year.

How lucky are we to have a fabulous shop like kings diy- the staff go out of their way to help and advise. Living in a mess/ derelict house I’ve been in there at least 6 times with various plumbing, woodwork, gardening queries and they always help in a non patronising way. They’ve offered me free returns if items aren’t compatible with my odd plumbing, and carried heavy things to my car. Brilliant personal service in an era of impersonal e-commerce.
Absolutely awful and arrogant customer service! Last time I stepped foot in this store! Bought a kettle yesterday late afternoon. Tried it out at home. It was making strange noises even after unplugging it 30 min. before. I did not feel safe to use it & wanted to return it. I emailed and called the store in advance. I was told that's fine. I can bring it in for a refund. I popped in today during my work lunch break, only for the guy to check out the kettle by boiling water in it. Then coming back, packing it up and giving the kettle back to me, saying nothing is wrong with it. The audacity of it all took 18 min. Only because it didn't make the noise in this moment, doesn't mean I as a customer feel safe and happy! I had to had a stern word with him and another guy before they issued the refund. I hurried to return the product the day after I bought and tried it, to receive such an appaling treatment. Don't dare to treat customers differently as per your liking. I well noticed not only today, but also on a few previous occasions your racist undertones in behavior and speech. We are international, professional Londoners, staying at Sandhurst - a place of good reputation due to the Royal Military Academy being based there. Don't spoil the reputation of the town with your disgusting treatment of women from ethnic minority backgrounds!
Great staff, entered the shop for the first time staff were helpful and friendly and located all the items I needed.
Visited store this morning to purchase a number of items .nYoung lad served me and I pointed out he hadn’t taken for the rake @n£ 14:99 . No thank you . No pleasenwhen asked for payment !nSoooo rude . Chap on other till however excellent . Youngster needs to take a leaf out of his booknor if he doesn’t want to be there find something else . You’re loose customers otherwise and there the only people that keep you in business .
My favourite shop of all. The range of stock they hold is incredible. Always helpful and willing to give advice. Having the wood/ timber section is also really handy for home projects as the big DIY stores don't offer a flexible service any longer. It's very rare indeed for Kings not to have an item needed for a home project, also cleaning products, garden products, seasoal products, tools, sheds, the list goes on. Staff very nice too.
