Amazing welcome from lovely staff. Food was perfect and live music on Saturday night was lovely. Stayed overnight in our motorhome free of charge Nice stroll around the lake Saturday afternoon. Sunday roast was huge and delicious. Can’t wait to go back. 5*

I looked on Google Maps for a halfway point on the map for us to stop for a lunch break on our way to Cheddar from Montgomeryshire, Mid Wales.nThe Kings Arms looked a good halfway stop. We pulled up, walked in and had a really friendly greeting from staff. Great selection of local ciders and ales from the bar and I went for a cider of their recommendation. I wasn’t disappointed!nThere was a good selection of food from the regular menu and specials menu and we all really enjoyed our meals.nAccess and parking is easy with plenty of space behind the pub.nWe really had a lovely meal and great experience and will certainly make this our halfway stop again in future & if we’re in the area again.nIt’s pinned as a favourite on Google Maps!nHighly recommended.
So friendly and helpful staff. There was confusion over the booking, my fault, we didn't book, but they accommodated us, a party of 9! How good is that.nThen the food, was so good, fantastic variety, including several vegan options, which went down well, and the carnivores were well taken care of too. Did I mention the chips? brilliant, and portion sizes exceptional too.nA good variety of beverages are available as well.
I love this pub! My husband and I and family stayed in Newent in 2019, visiting from Canada, to visit my family in the UK. Wayne made my husband the best steak & kidney pudding he’s ever had, we ate here almost every night and the food was fantastic, and prices really reasonable. I’m visiting family again, we went to this pub today and it was fantastic! I really can’t say enough positive comments about this place!! Food is amazing!!
