What a lovely little pub, staff are very attentive and food is amazing. Well done looking forward to visiting again on my next visit to Wales
Lovely proper old pub. Lovely staff. Lovely vibe. Good proper beer.
Hard to find fault with this classy little pub. Definitely the best Sunday roast I've had since moving to Cardiff, lovely staff, smart decor, and what looks to be a nice garden space, though I've never tried it. Perhaps they could offer a wider range of wines, but that's just splitting hairs.
Great cosy traditional pub. Lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. The Sunday Roast was good. Can't wait to return to spend a few too many hours on a cold evening!
Stunning food, lovely ales, slightly Hampered by long waiting times. Hopefully a one off. Will be returning to give another go as the food was so good.
This place is so cute with a sitting outside as well and the roast dinner is so yummy
Do exactly what they claim. Quality stylish but unpretentious food, keep a quality cellar. Give a warm welcome, but unobtrusively. Excellent service and help with wheelchair access. We recommend the King's Arms especially if you walk, cycle or otherwise visit Garth Top.
Update: I have returned since my original review and now given 5 stars. The welcoming and service was much improved. The food here is amazing, the pub itself is lovely with a nice beer garden. The only downside is the welcome and friendliness when entering. The younger staff especially could do with some training. Sometimes met with just stares like they're confused that customers have appeared. To be fair once seated and being served it was fine from that point. Just some smiles and hellos would go a long way. I dont know maybe just nerves, but hopefully take this as just some minor constructive criticism. It's a good job the chef is so good, and the amazing vegan options otherwise not sure if I'd keep going back.
Lovely pub. Lovely staff. Delicious food. Social distances measures in place. Would happily go again.
Booked for Sunday lunch on the 18th.September for myself, two sisters and niece.I have constantly been disappointed with pub Sunday lunches but this time the experience was superb. Two of us chose beef and two had the lamb,we all agreed that the meats were beautifully cooked, very tender and the beef just melted. The vegetables were served separately and all were excellent as were the roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. The deserts were equally appreciated. As well, the young staff were very helpful, professional and engaging. In all it was a great experience and wished I lived nearer so could go again next sunday.
