Love this place, best fish and chips in Haywards Heath! We regularly frequent this little palace and passing by is enough to make us want fish and chips. We're by no means regulars but it's clearly well loved as there are always regulars in when we go.
A good fish and chip takeaway. Often queues out the door which just shows how popular the place is. Service is always friendly, portions are a good size large is enough for two people. Fish is tasty and battered lightly. My only grip is the curry sauce is a tad sweet.
It's an awful chippy in respects to price, customer service and value for money. Over £6.50 for a large portion of chips, 2 sausages and a carton of curry sauce. The portion of chips are tiny God knows what you'd get for a small portion. I could count the chips on the so-called large. The sausages are half the size of normal chippy sausages and the carton of sauce wasn't put in the bag when I placed the order and paid. Only when I got home, did I discover that it was missing. It's not the first time this has happened!! The proprietors are as miserable as sin and refuse to serve you. You have to wait for a young member of staff. Will not spend any more money in this place. Should have learned my lesson the first time. How they are still going is a miracle!??!
Incredibly expensive and the fish is tiny. This was a medium Cod. I placed a £1 coin for size reference in the shot.
Good quality though smaller portions than others locally. Very nice chips, not at all greasy as some can be. Only used take away so can't comment on eating in experience.
-10000 stars, worst chip shop I've ever been to, even worse than festival chippies. AWFUL!!! Stopped here on the way home to feed kids. Super expensive portions, and when they were served, portions were absolutely TINY!! I was gobsmacked. Service was awful, chips just dropped on counter on plastic tray, not even wrapped up. Even worse, MOST CHIPS WERE INEDIBLE!! All black and green!! NEVER EVER EAT HERE!! These people do not deserve to be in business!!! Our local chippes put them to shame!!!!!!
Food was embarrasingly small. Large chips barely serves one person nevermind two. The 'large cod" was beyond a joke, spending £13 on a chippy and still being hungry after was a huge dissappointment. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. And we will never be eating here again.
Lovely fish and chips tasted fresh. Very clean everywhere, nice decor though slightly dated. Air-conditioned which was good on a hot day. Service was prompt and food arrived quickly.
Once again along wait for the fish to be cooked and then once we got it home we found the fish skin was burnt. Considering you pay more here then most othervchip shops in the area its really dissapointing. I think that was our last visit to this shop in future we will be going else where.
Superb fish and chips place! Nice selection, fabulous taste, quality and clean interior including eat in space. Very nice service. Everything you could expect from fish and chips place plus more.
