We attended a Dr Who Charity Convention which was organised very well and was thoroughly enjoyable. The venue was easily accessible throughout and I was able to move independently on my mobility scooter. There was ample parking for all. The venue was not cramped at all considering there was another group also using it. Highly recommend both the venue and the Dr Who Charity Convention, which incidentally raised over £17,000 for three local charities! Well done to all.
Lovely little cafe in a very relaxed area of this multi purpose venue. The cafe is used by people attending for work based reasons, but also its used for clinics.nStaff very helpful.nDecaffeinated fresh coffee is available, as is oat milk. Along with the regular coffee and milk.nA range of foods available.nComfortable seats and space around. You don't feel crammed in.nRoom for remote working also.
Been here for a eye test a few times and thought we'd have a bite to eat and a coffee.nThe coffee was nice but the food was tasteless and the service was dreadful. There was 4 people in the café and 2 of the girls just stood talking to each other when there was a queue of customers. Never once made any eye contact with us, oblivious to the queue. The 2 guys were like the chuckle brothers, only they didn't make anybody laugh. They couldn't handle basic catering duties and a couple of customers walked away. One returned his food because it was inedible and our food was the wrong items. As we'd waited so long we just couldn't be bothered to take it back to the counter. I wish we had done though as it was also inedible. I doubt anyone behind the counter has had any type of food preparation training and it shows.nIt's a real blemish on an otherwise nice clean spacious building. Car park is spacious, toilets were spotless and they wee playing some nice soothing music over the P/A system. Whoever is in charge of the place, please train or replace your staff please.nUpdate 25/04/24,nWe are pleased to say that on our return visit, all was good! The duty manager Tatia was a real delight and attentive to our table. Food, coffee, service was all good as was the environment. A big thank you to Isabel for handling our previous complaint and a big thank you to Tatia for ensuring that we enjoyed a nice lunch. We shall return soon!
I really like the atmosphere at King's House. I work here occasionally and have no problems doing so. Free wifi works fine. Food is nice, people are great.
Great people running a great venue. Very impressed with the kitchen and serving staff. Give them a raise!
