I like Coal Drops Yard and it's really interesting to see the surroundings from the above. Especially the new Google building. I was wondering what it's going to be. Such a large company building with roof top greens,
Today I went to the Visitor Centre Kings Cross St.Pancras. I am pregnant 9 months and was with my 2 years old son i the buggy. The queue was large, I think about 20-30 min of waiting. I went directly and asked to the lady if she can attend me without waiting in the queue due to my pregnancy and my small child who was very inpatient. The lady loudly told me: "No! At least in this country no!'. Thanks God it was not my first time in the UK, but it was the first time that 'in this country' I heard that nobody will attend me priority because I am pregnant and with a small child I live in London for 2 years. I am sure parents will understand how frequently it gets a challenge to wait 20 minutes with a small child. Hope that blond lady who refused to attend me will never need wait pregnant or with the small child in a long queue. Due her accent apparently she was not British. Thanks god it was not urgent for me, so I left Visitor Centre and went to the Information of Thameslink where I was provided all information I was looking for by a lovely gentleman. Hopefully I will never need to return to this Visitor Centre non me alone, non with my children. Enjoy London!
This visitor centre is more spacious than the one at Victoria station. I had a big order of travel cards and was refused to be serviced at Victoria visitor centre so I went to St Pancras. The staff here was very friendly and helpful. Specail thanks to Rene, the visitor advisor for his patience and help.
The KX visitors centre is small but perfectly formed. A quiet space to learn about whats on in the area, with helpful staff. There is a model of the area showing some future projects, and its updated as they are completed. Tours of the area tend to start from here. Located on Stable Street, by Lewis Cubit Square, around the left hand side of Granary Square.
If you knew this area 15 years ago you will either be saddened by the lack of clubs that were very pupoluer in the 90's or happy that Kingscross has finally changed and is a safe place to visit and live. You will stagger at the transition - the Visitors Centre are eager to tell you what has changed and what is to come, including big brands like Goggle. There are also a guided tours or the area on Turesday and Saturdays - call them to find out more.
Great staff, friendly and efficient....
