After taking the Northern line from here the other day I can now say I have visited all parts of this station not including national rail! It is a great station with a bunch of great transport links. The platforms are mostly clean and have regular train services. However, it gets VERY crowded at times, especially in the peak hours, and since it’s got 6 different underground serving trains, it makes navigation quite tricky.
Easy station to use, very helpful staff but best of all is the building itself. Another great piece of British architecture.
We were here in September to catch a Eurostar train from London to Paris.nWe slept in a hotel close to the station so we arrived on foot But there are many ways to get here whether by tube, bus or taxi.nThe station is very large and is divided into two large terminals. One serves the Eurostar with Check-in hall, security checks and waiting area. and one with intercity trains.nEverything is well and clearly signage, but it is still recommended to arrive long enough in advance to know where the train or tube is.nThere is a tube line which connects the station directly to Hetero Airport. We used it, although it takes longer than the direct train from the airport, but there is no need to change with all the luggage.nIt is necessary to take three separate elevators to get from the tube platform floor to the street entrance floor and it can be very confusing. We took the wrong exit and had to walk a little further down the street to get to our hotel.
