We called in here today for a hot drink out of the rain and decided to order breakfast. I had the bacon and egg butty which was delicious. The egg was cooked perfectly. The staff were lovely too. The toilets were upstairs which may be an issue for visitors with mobility problems, but they were very clean. We would definitely call here again.
Visited Oct 2021 on a cool grey windy day, yet the warm welcome from staff instantly made us all warm inside. The food is absolutley amazing, perfectly cooked and delicious at prices that certainly won't break anyone's bank. Like the Tardis from Dr Who it looks small from the outside but there's plenty of room inside, and during summer days, what better than to have a drink or meal outside.
Good menu choice, good prices, friendly staff. Very generous portions. Only downside is the toilets being up a flight of stairs.
Good friendly staff with a warm welcome, fish with crispy batter nice chips & peas, great meal thanks to all the team at The King Richard III
Fish cooked to perfection but was fish and FRIES rather than fish and chips. Very disappointing. Proper chips are a must.
Overall a really good experience in a lovely little pub, we all had Sunday lunch that was really well done and tasty, my only advice was that you add the gravy your self ask for it on the side in a gravy boat as I found it slightly overkill however I understand some will love this nevertheless it was lovely. Thank you.Food: 4/5
Been here many times since covid and the service just gets worse. They had a little girl covering service outside. Once we had waited 15 minutes and she served customers who arrived after us we just left. We have approached the bar previously to be told it is table service only. Well it is and it is atrocious!Food: 1/5
Lots of seating, decent choice on the menu - big eats or sandwiches. Good choice of beers & gins. Dog friendly. No accessible toilets - up some stairs. Wheelchair accessibility: Toilets up some stairs
Very disappointed with this establishment, the staff were doing their best, hence the 2 stars, however the food was mediocre at best, my steak was pre-cooked and luke warm whereas the scampi and chips were piping hot same plate refund was immediate. Having been told to arrive early so they could shut early, which we did, along with the lack of concern over the food seems to show a certain attitude towards customers. I won't be visiting again.
Had Sundays lunch there£9.95 but no Yorkshire pudding you had to pay an extra pound for the pleasure but if you get the beef dinner you get the Yorkshire pudding free but the meal was ok,ish also no peas and no turnip as you can see that's what you get.
