Fabulous secluded beach! There’s a great place to go for a bite to eat called Riley’s Fish shack! Dogs allowed between September and May.
such an amazing beach! it is a bit messy and not very hygenic which is why i only give it a 4 stars; and there are way too many stairs to climb over 100! but other than that beautiful views
What a lovely way to spend a few hours walking/relaxing beautiful scenic views with so much sand and dog friendly, with a few cafes situated nearby, and Riley’s beach shack on the beach itself which unfortunately was fully booked during our visit, but plenty of lovely independent restaurants/cafes/shops in nearby Tynemouth Village. Well worth a visit.
Great beach. One of the famous beach in northern part of England So large and great sand! Lacks a public toilet off area.
Stunning place to have a picnic. Walk the dog and best of all going for a swim just heaven Dines at the famous shack at kings Edwards Bay
Really beautiful little place, easy parking, Tynemouth is such a beautiful place, gorgeous beaches and good waking, all nice and clean.
A lovely small sandy bay with clean sea water popular with bathers and excercise class on the beach Sunday morning. There's a small restaurant on the beach specialising in barbecued food, a lifeguard on duty and portaloos for public use. Seating area with tables and parasols in front of the cooking hut.
Love it. Better than Tynemouths bigger beach, worth a visit. Great for a dip in the winter as well, there’s a few people that go there regularly. Be wary of riptides though.
Beautiful bay with good access to the water. Only a minute away from the bus stop, too. To get down, you need to descend quite a few steps. It's not a huge bay, so can get crowded during the summer season. Very close to local shops and bars/restaurants and Tynemouth castle.
Beautiful coved beach with lovely sand and rocky outcrops to go rock-pooling when the tide is out. Riley's Fish Shack provides lovely coffees and food, so you don't need to go far. Stunning view. Family friendly as the beach is small, so it's easy to keep an eye on the kids, and the water gets deeper only very gradually - there are no steep underwater sand shelves to worry about. Parking on the main road is now only £3 per day, which is great value. Beware that the less able-bodied will find the stepped climb to and from the beach hard going.
