Nice spot to visit, we had a good walk upto the castle, worth the walk. There’s parking facility, wash rooms and a small cafe near the park area. Bit rocky path but you can enjoy on a sunny dayVisited onPublic holidayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNo
Awesome site to visit! However, it is not for the faint of heart. There is a long set of stairs that one must descend. Then there is an open patch of ground that is rather slick when wet. Finally, another short series of steps up to the site. The ground around the site is a little uneven, and also slick when wet. The walk out to the end of the point is quite narrow, and you are exposed to potentially strong gusts of wind; the cost for a misstep is almost certainly death. The scenery in the area is spectacular, and there are two waterfalls to appreciate, at least when it is raining.
This was such an unexpected find. Just stunning views and a lot of steps down to the actual castle ruins. Be prepared to walk and climb. You'll find out how fit you are coming back up the steps! But it is well worth the effort.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
We got lucky and there was no one around, plus the sun was out. The views are incredible both on the way down and while you’re out on the castle grounds. Wouldn’t wear sandals, the steps are like hitting the stair master for 30 min. Also, careful of the edges, the grass rolls over and we were told by locals a few tourists have fallen in before.
It is refreshing that Kinbane castle is free to discover. Big enough car park, toilets. There was even a snack bus when we visited. There are stairs, as mentioned, but I barely noticed them. Wonderful views of the surrounding cliffs. We were fortunate enough to visit on a sunny day. Just stunning. The castle ruins indicate the size of the former structure. Just a lovely experience.
This place was surprisingly quiet considering how stunning it is, and that it’s totally free. I’m glad though - it being so peaceful was not only a nice break from more hectic locations but also made for some great photos!Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Amazing nature! Amazing views. Beautiful, green, colorful. A corner of the planet that filled me with a lot of emotion and energy. Easy access. Have a nice walk
Very good at lovely view. The only thing is, there are 140 steps to reach the castle and they are quite steep so wouldn’t go if not up for the challenge.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Castle Ruins to explore out on the headland. Bit of trek down then back up again what feels like several hundred steps. Very well worth it for super views.
Fantastic site hidden away, worth the walk - be aware it's a bit of a climb down/up many steps
