"Korea historically has a very rich food cuisine and tradition. It is located between China and Japan and therefore their food culture has been influenced by both. Health is of the utmost importance in Korea and eating well goes hand in hand with that, as health begins at the gut.Here at KimJi we believe eating is also a communal experience, side dishes can be served with every meal and are meant to be shared and eaten together. We use the freshest ingredients that are available and combine it with bold flavours."

An absolute gem of a restaurant. The food was superb and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Regardless whether you are a world traveller or have never had Korean food before this place is a must. It is quite a small place so I would recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Though there is a great cocktail bar over the road if you have to wait an hour for a table!
What a delightful discovery. The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere. The menu is varied. The food is delightful in flavour, colour and presentation. The service is outstanding. The prices are very reasonable. We found a right little gem here and will return again and again.
A fantastic place to get a first try of Korean cuisine. The staff made us feel very welcome and the seating was spacious and comfortable. The restaurant is located on a quiet street just off Fishergate so it’s easy to get to and away from the noise of the main street. The food was amazing and I look forward to paying another visit the next time I’m in Preston!
A quaint restaurant with a succinct menu providing authentic Korean munchies. The booking was done online and I think it's great for a friendly meet up. It's small and could easily be booked out for a group to enjoy exclusively. The food was delicious, filling and not too salty. Will definitely return.Food: 4/5
My partner and I went for Valentine's Day and it was superb. They had a set menu and we loved it. Don't think we left any food at all! Lovely staff too.
Horrible food and service. Wouldn’t be there again. 1. It took quite long time to have the food served. We ordered the lunch menu with KFC, but the waitress forgot it until we asked her. 2. The lunch menu was written that all served with salad and egg rolls, but the waitress told you didn’t provide that any more, which was not mentioned on the menu. 3. All food were very salty. 4. The attitude of the waitress was bad.
Very tasty food as always made and prepared to a high standard Staff chatty and friendly aslo asked about any allergies The lemon tea was a new 1 to try enjoyed the taste was fair sweet and not bitter which was interesting Hoping to try the mango chicken when the chef as got it perfect
Really great find on Hinckley Street. Quality Korean food, great decor and excellent service. Bookings are recommended although walk in is available.
KimJi is a hidden gem in Preston, every time we visit it always feels like we have wandered out of Lancashire, this is in due to its more cosmopolitan feeling location near Winkley Square and it’s cozy restaurant. The food it always amazing and reasonably priced, i recommend ordering plenty of sides to share along side your main to give you the best experience and nobody would be disappointed in the KimJi Fried Chicken!
Don't recommend ordering delivery with Kimji. I do enjoy their food it is usually good but I have an illness right now that impared my walking and decided to order. It's on a colder side and super stingy with the sauce for bibbimbap the sauce is important to the meal. A bit too pricy for this quality. Better go to the restaurant next time.
