Upon arriving we were wowed by the decor, beautifully designed like a hotel grade restaurant in Korea, definitely top notch and thumbs up. The menu was good and easy to understand with many options. We appreciated the non alcoholic cocktails. We ordered a variety of items from the menu. The food was good, tastes like food in Korea so that's good, although we found most of the dishes a tad too salty for our taste. Recommend the bbq dishes. The sizes of the dishes was also too small, despite spending 60 pounds per head excluding drinks just for lunch we left feeling hungry. Service definitely has room for improvement. We came for a late lunch arriving around 1530, the restaurant was very quiet only had a few tables of guests. The staff were too busy chatting, laughing loudly and playing on their phones. They forgot our drinks despite not being busy. They also didn't warn us that some of the dishes were very hot and I burnt my hand.
Totally worth a visit !! Good place for solo lunch-goers too. They have these window facing seating that is perfect for people going in solo. I actually preferred these to the lower seating. The staff were really nice and helpful. The food was to die-for and the overall service was amazing. I wish I had the capacity to eat more : Honestly it's a place I will definitely visit again!
Great food!! Went for the items off the menu rather than cook your own as it looked like it would have a better grilled flavour. Was not disappointed. So so so so so good! The beef and beef tongue stood out!
We were passing through the area and hadn’t realised how much King’s Cross had changed. We were actually trying to go to another restaurant nearby but even on a Monday at 5:30pm, there were queues everywhere! Kimchee had one of the shortest lines but still took 30 minutes. The staff were pleasant and the food was good. Our food and drink order were taken quickly but it took too long for our drinks to come. Our food came out pretty quickly, but the drinks came only halfway through our meal, even though asked our server at the start of the meal. I could hear a few surrounding tables had the same issue. The wait was long even for a regular day, but being a very hot day, it amplified the wait even more. Especially as some of the food was spicy. The decor of the restaurant was beautiful. However, I felt the tables were a little close together. I’m not a big girl but had to squeeze through to get to and from our table, whilst apologising to neighbouring guests. I could also hear the conversations from both side clearly even though no one was talking particularly loud. Overall, I do like the restaurant. It’s a great location.
Amazingly delicious food. We ordered a wide variety of items on the menu and everything was too notch. The place is huge and has both indoor and outdoor seating. The ambience is simple and beautiful. And the service is quick.
Presentation: Experience: Taste: The place was very appealing visually with a fairly chilled ambience. The menu was easy to understand and very informative about what to expect from the dishes and how much they would cost. Ordering is straightforward as all it took was for a server to come and we just had to tell them our orders. However, beneath the aesthetic interior lies things that are much to be desired. I would like to start with how it took the servers at least 30 minutes to come to our table and take our order. Looking around the establishment, it can be seen that we were not the only ones that were waiting to be served. Water was also not served, so asking for it when ordering was the only option to get it. When our food arrived, it did not look anything to be what I expected from the picture menu. It looked very lacklustre, the plating was not done up to standards and above all, the taste was as bland as its appearance. The beef from the Galbitang and the grilled pork were overcooked to the point that I thought I was chewing gum and not meat. The kimchi pancake was burnt at the bottom which is the same as the restaurant, appealing to look at but undesirable underneath. While eating the prawns, it was clear that it has been sitting on the side and was just reheated, instead of a newly cooked one, which would have a different texture and taste. Above all, when our orders were taken, the servers failed to ask us one of the most important questions when working in this kind of industry; they failed to ask us if we had any allergens or dietary requirements. This is very important as this can have a big impact on whether the customers are able to eat the food on the menu or not and also if someone were to have a severe allergic reaction to any of the ingredients in the food, the establishment would have to take responsibility for failing to ask such a simple question, regardless of whether a customer has an allergy or not. In conclusion, this restaurant is a rather average Korean restaurant compared to others that I have visited, even if they also have flaws. There is much improvement needed and I believe in due time, things will change as this place has just opened not too long ago. I look forward to coming back and getting a better experience.
Good service, interior was beautiful and well decorated. The food was decent, nothing special and a little underwhelming with its portion size. Would pop in if feeling hungry, but not something I’d go out of my way to travel to.
Lovely Korean Cuisine in a curated venue. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The quality of the meals is proportional to the price I'd say. We'll definitely come back. Recommended!Food: 5/5
Went yesterday, I was very excited for the deep fried king prawns so we ordered 2 portions but they came with so much saucesee picture you could hardly taste the prawns. The dish looked nothing like when ordered in the past or on the menu where they've used an acceptable amount of sauce. So yeah £32 thrown in the bin.
Excellent. It’s been my first time here, wanted to try it for a couple of times already — food and service has been great, and typically friendly for an Asian place. The bun was nicely done, filled with delicious meat leaving a nice balance between the beef, salad and dough. The noodles were equally great, with the vegetables made just perfectly crunchy and the noodles itself magically soft albeit not falling apart. It’s visible they use high quality ingredients and have people on the kitchen who know how to prepare some great food.
