My family and I have eaten takeaway from this restaurant, many times. I can honestly say, from my experience, that it is probably more Korean-inspired than actually just Korean, but don't let that stop you from trying. The food at Kim's Bulgogi, generally, is very delicious! You won't be disappointed, unless you were stationed in Korea and are trying to compare one-on-one. If you can accept the food for what it is, you are certain to enjoy it. However, I do have a minor issue, worth note. The portion size of meat vs rice or meat vs noodles is highly inconsistent. This has caused me major disappointment and left me hungry, as the amount of meat that is given is dependent on the person working. it would seem there is no standard quantity, such as a specific amount of grams or measured out to determine a portion. As I have said, the place has really good food. If you haven't tried, I recommend that you give it a chance, just so long as you are aware that you could potentially be disappointed by the portion size of the meat. *Edit 24 September* It should be mentioned that the interior needs a good cleaning!!!
Honestly wasn't that good. My first order of the fire grilled chicken was alright, but it really lacked any real flavor in my humble opinion. My next order about a week later was the crispy chili chicken. It was... Very bland to say the least. Also something about it just didn't taste right. Almost like the ingredients weren't quite right or properly measured and mixed. One thing that's always flawless is the rice though! I really love their white rice, it's delicious! Overall I've had two poor experiences with the chicken here. Bland, lacking much flavor, etc.. but I'd still recommend because of the price. Only 8 pounds? Not bad at all.
Decent food, nice service, but too small to eat in if you want to enjoy the food and company of friends or family without a customer breathing over your shoulder waiting to order. .Food: 4/5
Staff were incredibly helpful to my friend who had never been before. Food was delicious as always, and there was a ton of variety. Shout out to Amy spelling? for being spot on with her banter, she’s the coolest. Can never complain about this place
Great food, I’ve had several takeaways from here before and enjoyed it. Reasonably priced. Not so great service though. For example today I turned up at 2:35 to find they are shut between 2:30 and 3:00. So I returned at 3:45 to find the young lady behind the counter treated me like I was completely invisible. After waiting patiently for several minutes for her to finish serving the customer ahead of me she completely ignored me even though I was stood 6 feet away directly in front of her, looking directly at her, and started serving some people that had literally just walked in. At this point I decided I wasn’t destined to get any food from them on this occasion, spun on my heels and walked out in disgust. Now eating toast at home. Wonderful. There’s a sign on the door asking for Google reviews so here it is, my honest review.
This place can use some better management. They took my order over the phone. They didn't confirm my order. They told me it was a 30 minute wait. I get to the register and they wrote down the wrong meal. So I got spicy pork instead of teriyaki chicken. I turned down their offer for me to wait an additional 15 minutes for my correct meal. They didn't have any more fried chicken wings that I ordered, so I got extra fried chicken and veggie dumplings. They forgot the soy sauce that goes with my dumplings. The food was bland, it lacks salt. The food was not hot. It was probably ready for pick up within 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes. This was my first visit. The best part of the meal was the Tango Orange soda. I might give this place one more chance. So far, it seems overrated.
We travel over an hour to get here because the food is so worth it! Always fresh and delicious and the kimchi is perfection. Staff are friendly and helpful and the diner is clean and comfortable.A few tables are available for eating in and there's usually parking available out front.
Absolutely love the food. Staff is usually very friendly as well but because this is such a popular place the wait during busy times is very long. But the food is totally worth the wait. My family and I eat here at least once a week!Food: 5/5
Great place to grab some food rice boxes are filling and tasty. Spicy Chilli pork and Crispy Chilli Beef and some chicken dumplings are defo recommended. Get there before 11am or after 1230 to avoid a rush. Parking: Shared parking with other businesses so can get busy. May have to park on the road.
HUGE PRICE JUMP... Not so long ago they raised prices and changed the menu a bit because of increased cost but now most recently they have also changed to a much smaller container... the size of the large container has decreased by about 20% it is shorter by about 20%. The food is pretty good but I hate it when places try to deceptively raise prices... if you need to raise prices just do so, BUT DONT TRY TO TRICK PEOPLE.
