We came here for midweek lunch while visiting the area. Very nice! Good food at a good price, we had soft drinks but the cocktail menu looked impressive! Friendly staff and the place was clean and modern. Loos (ladies anyway) were clean and spacious. Usual problem of at least 1 stall lock not working, but I think that's standard got any place where people go for nights out! I'd like to go back on an evening 😊

Excellent food and atmosphere. Everything fresn coffee and tea good flavours. Proper chef. Would be amongst top five at any price. They've got it right. 5star. Highly recommended.

I've been a few times and things are usually fairly nice but on my last visit the card machine wasn't working and the cash point in the restaurant wasn't working and neither of the staff members 1. Told people until they had ordered and 2. Apologised for the inconvenience. I highlighted the issue to the person that took my order and again they didn't apologise or even acknowledge what I'd said. I just felt like it was rude of them. The food is generally nice, it's obviously not gourmet cuisine but on this particular visit I ordered a pizza, it wasn't a long wait for the food at all, bit there was a ridiculous amount of tomato puree on the pizza to the point where I was scraping it off and the pizza was lukewarm. We didn't bother complain because the staff looked tired of being there and honestly we didn't want to make their day worse. I used to really like going to the Kiln but it's really gone downhill the past few months, it's a real shame. Hopefully the management get their heads together to try and get things how they used to be. I've included some pics to show the extent of the tomato puree on the pizza, was really lacking in cheese!

Alright place, better than other places in Newcastle but my major issue is they measure out two doubles of mixer when you order a spirit and mixer. When those syrups cost about 10p a litre that's so stingy that I can only really give it 3 stars... prices are pretty steep too given the location

Good and friendly staff, also a lovely place to visit if you would like to stop for a bite to eat, meals are a good choice of foods from snacks to if you are more hungry you can go for main meals, they serve tea and coffee too
