Celebrating a Big Birthday we booked an overnight stay. There were 11 in the group. The staff were amazing, the lakeside rooms were beautiful and the food was beyond delicious. It was the little touches like Happy Birthday written on the dessert plate in chocolate that helped to make it special. Every single person in our party said the same thing, "I wish we had booked to stay longer." I would highly recommend.
This place has it all. Stayed in the Lodges with our dog. Brilliant the way you can bring your dog into the Hotel to certain areas for grub and drinks. All staff we dealt with were extremely friendly and helpful. No need to leave Hotel complex as it has everything but town centre is only 20 min walk away. This is a unique experience and we'll definitely be back. It's a bit pricey but well worth it.
Lovely location, rooms beautifully decorated, but the staff lack a lot of personality. No greetings at breakfast, no eye contact with us. During our dinner we asked for wine - the bottle was put on the table , top not removed and the waiter just left. Waiting staff let the hotel down.Rooms: 5/5
Really great hotel. Great staff. Fantastic Stout. Food amazing. Atmosphere 10/10. Smallest of drawbacks would be the fact there is no live music on a Saturday night. But that's all.Rooms: 5/5
I am giving this place only three star because the restaurant Bar and Grill was nothing short than appalling! No vegan options whatsoever and what they try to “make vegan” was very bad. To put things into context, my girlfriend who is not vegan really liked the food and we were there during the Easter break, so, perhaps, they were understaffed or would have done better in another moment of the year, but I was very disappointed in the restaurant. Everything else was fine.
Stayed with my husband on a three night break just before Easter. The radiator in room 263 had a broken thermostat. The food in the restaurant was very average and not how I remember our last visit. The couple beside us complained to the restaurant manager on our second evening that they could not eat their meal. The manager said the head chef was on holiday? That night both myself and my husband felt nauseous. We had both had the beef at dinner. When we arrived home that day I was in a considerably worse state and vomited. I have been in bed for days unwell. Trip to the doctors tomorrow!!!
Our extended family spent a weekend in the Killyhevlin Hotel recently. The hotel is set on the shores of Lough Erne. We were made very welcome by all the friendly, helpful staff. The food and ambience was first class and our grandchildren got extra special attention. The weather wasn't great so we spent a lot of time in the pool and spa and the playground. Our only complaint was that the rooms were too well heated! There are also self catering lakeside lodges on site which would be ideal too for family groups.
Went for Sunday dinner with guests, service was dreadful. After dinner both my wife’s and my credit cards were declined in front of other diners and our guests because of an error on there end, incredibly embarrassing. While driving home we get a phone call from them stating they hadn't taken enough money for the meal and could we pay the balance by card over the phone which we did only to be told later that they had actually come after one of our dinner guests who we had paid for to pay the balance because they couldn’t find us. You won’t be seeing us again that’s for sure.
Absolutely beautiful.Stayed for two nights, the rooms where spotless and not a sound at night.Staff where very professional. Plenty do do throughout the day. Food was lovely,I am coeliac and I had plenty of choice. The view was really lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.Rooms: 5/5
Just back from a couple of lovely days staying in one of the Killyhevlin's lakeshore lodges. The lodges are fabulous......we wanted to bring ours home with us! Cosy and warm, very well kitted out with great views of the Lough. Very quiet and relaxing. The Lodges are dog friendly but there is an additional charge which we thought was expensive. We had 1 dinner in the hotel which was very nice. The portion sizes can be very big! Lots to do nearly by and we opted for a walk around Florence Court, 6 miles away. All and all, a lovely experience. Nearby activities: Florence Court is always worth a visit. A lovely very walk around the house and ground can be enjoyed with lots of interesting cultural heritage in gorgeous surroundings. We particularly enjoyed the walled garden and listening to the frogs who were in full tune. A substantial walk can be had around the park boundary.
