Lovely little library with experience and friendly librarians. A senior staff working there proactively asked my child to join the library summer reading plan. My girl got the prize happily after finishing the requirements. The library has a comfortable interior design and readers can read peacefully there for a cozy afternoon. One fussy thing that my library card can’t be scanned by the borrowing machine so I just pin in the card number to borrow two books. As I had to go so would ask the librarian to fix the card scan problem next time. A lot of crime thrillers books and some visual novels found there on shelves.
Nice kids area, good variety of books, the staff are very polite and helpful.
Been a member for years. Thank goodness it's there and being a pensioner it's a lifeline. Have read many books and can't fault the staff then and to the present day. The changes due to the pandemic have been thorough and made as simple as possible. Went in today, put my mask on, withdrew 2 books, booked them out using the electronic device, took my booking out receipt and left. No fuss
Visited today very disappointing no newspapers apparently logistics problem none for last 3 to 4 yrs Unbelievable ask Morrisons 2 min away they would probably part pay warm room tea coffee intermittently served l am easy going recommended this Library 3/10 really shocked and surprised my experience speaks for itself shocked
Killingworth Library is located within the White Swan, a community centre in Killingworth. It's a nice, modern Library with friendly staff, Internet workstations, a good selection of books, a children's area and a number of community and special interest group activities to be found. I often visit, find a quiet spot, pop my earphones in and take advantage of the free Wi-Fi to get some work or research done. It's as expected for a Library! quiet and relaxing here. The Library also has a great selection of comic books and graphic novels for the more geeky learning amongst us. All in all, this is a lovely local Library and a credit to the staff and the local community.
