Popped in for breakfast today and ordered the avocado toast – absolutely spot on! The dish looked super aesthetic and tasted amazing. The avocado was perfectly ripe, fresh, and well-seasoned, served on beautifully crispy bread. The light side salad with cherry tomatoes was a great, refreshing touch.The café has a very cozy, welcoming vibe love the wooden tables, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The portion size was just right to start the day off well.I’ll definitely be coming back regularly. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a great atmosphere! One of the best avocado toasts I've had in a while.

Look.. it’s a coffee shop in Ongar. Don’t expect the world’s best coffee or Michelin star foodpastries etc... So manage your expectations. That said, it’s a lovely spot for a nice coffee and pastry. I have a ‘thing’ for their almond croissants. The service is excellent and very friendly and for the ladies out there, it’s spotless. It ticks a box very well. I recommend it.
I never usually leave reviews and certainly not bad ones. This is my second visit and the staff are so rude. On my first visit I asked if they can do sandwich with just cheese and tomato no ham and she looked at me and said we only have what’s on the shelf! The second time the biscuit on display was stale when I tried it and when I returned it not saying a word she asked what wrong and I said it’s stale she answered aggressively that they are all fresh! I didn’t ask for money back I was just in the queue to order another drink as the first one tasted like sweet pink water. I paid for the first order and second one if they were edible I would have had them! No one throws money away! Just be polite and kind it’s not much to ask.
This is new to us and from the look of things it's fairly new on the high street.nFirst impressions it looks lovely, really nice from the outside and very modern on the inside, I loved the decor, the colour scheme was very relaxing and some great design touchesnThe coffee was excellent, and we had a choice of sandwiches and cakes in a fridge, once chosen were decanted onto a plate to enjoy or of course ready for take awaynThe carrot cake I chose was one of the best I'd tried, I think maybe midweek their maybe more sandwich choices, it was a Sunday we visited.nI really enjoyed the whole experience
