2 stars is actually generous, waited over 40 minutes for our order at 8pm in a virtually empty restaurant and even the drive through was dead but the staff couldn’t cope and the Uber drivers were busy complaining about the wait time too - young lad on second shift on his own bagging orders but had clearly no training or hygiene training yet- why leave him on his own? Manager was busy doing an appraisal in the seating area but took 30 minutes to actually rescue the service and get things moving again- I’d say it’s a sad one off but it’s not, happens regularly at this branch- I shall not bother using them again. Warning to everyone, this is not fast food! Plus 1/2 the order was stone cold and inedible.
Visited to grab food for my son after a long drive. Parked up and went into the restaurant through the open door, to be told the restaurant was closed and we had to use drive through. There were four cars in the drive through, and it took us 17-18 mins to get our food. We could have gone to the pub opposite and ordered a bar meal and been served just as quick. On the plus side, once we finally got the food, my son reported it to be good, and freshly cooked.
The chicken and food is fine for fast food. But the service is diabolical, slow is an understatement and that's on a quiet day. The tables are hardly ever cleaned, squashed chips often on the floor. Personally iff it was my business I'd be investing in some decent staff.
Worst kfc in the world it must be! absolutely filthy inside, asked three times for someone to come and wipe my table and three times I was Ignored. The money these fast food chains make and they seem to only employ children. They know how long it takes to cook the chicken but yet no one seems to have the sense to get enough cooked for lunchtime/tea time rushes and/or after 7 o’clock when it always seems to take half an hour to get 1 piece of chicken. Food is disgusting and usually wrong! Just had a wrap of the day and there was more cabbage than chicken and zero mayo- awful!
Only managed to get half of my order correct 3 piece boneless instead of 4 and fillet burger instead of zinger tower burger! Suppose at least the chips were hot and the popcorn chicken was correct size.Food: 2/5
Was in this evening and ordered table service using the screen, receipt shows my order timed at 6.10pm. Food finally arrived at 6.48pm and was reluctantly delivered to our table after the staff member had shouted the order number out from behind the counter. Food served in a paper bag not on tray. One item missing. This was resolved. I spoke with the staff member about the time and asked for the Manager's name. He offered to send Manager over to see me so I accepted. Liam did apologise and said the reason for the delay was they only have one fryer and its 20 minutes to cook chicken on the bone. Delivery drivers and drive through appeared to be operating well. I'll not be going back.
Terrible! Ordered from the machine and waited about 20 minutes for a Pop Corn Chicken and Fries, a Pepsi and Coffee. The bins were over flowing, tables weren't cleared or cleaned and at one stage no one was on the counter, with several orders sat there awaiting someone to give them out such as buckets of chicken sat without a lid going cold. When I got the order it was lukewarm. There were empty buckets of chicken and other pieces of rubbish scattered throughout the room. Absolutely terrible. This needs to be sorted out!
Never receive the right order, last 3 times I’ve been completely wrong order, food is always cold and also waited 40 minutes for food for them to realise they had given delivery driver my food so then waited another 20 minutes for them to recook order. Ran by young people who clearly don’t receive enough training. Also kitchen is filthy. Very overpriced for dry chicken.
I came here the other day and ordered a large boneless banquet meal through the drive through. I got given a chicken leg and no boneless chicken in my meal and no explanation to why they did this from the counter service when I recieved my food. It was also not a large meal which I payed for, just a regular meal with a chicken leg I never asked for. Wouldn't recommend if in the area. will stick to aycliffe mcdonalds for my boneless chicken in the future
This is our nearest KFC location and rarely has a queue, it's probably the quietest KFC that we've ever used and yet they either seem to get something wrong with the order, or items are out of stock. The food that we have received has always been to the standard we expect from KFC, but it's extremely annoying to be informed that there's no gravy or no hash browns for the tower burgers, especially when you're using the drive-thru they really should provide some sort of "exit-lane". It used to be annoying to take a drink after driving away to discover that they'd given some sort of "diet" version of a drink instead of regular without saying anything, but now it's even worse as they don't seem to sell "regular" versions of carbonated drinks. I suffer from IBD and have quite severe reactions to all drinks that use anything other than sugar to sweeten the drinks. No matter whether it's artificial or natural sweeteners, it causes extreme abdominal issues. Although i object to paying more as a "sugar tax", at least i was able to have a drink, the option has now been taken away, as the only thing left is bottled water which just doesn't hit the spot. Looks like i won't be having any more KFCs Dietary restrictions: No longer sells "regular" drinks, just versions with some form of sweetener. If like us, you have an intolerance to sweeteners your drink choices are severely limited
