4 of us had the BEST evening at Grill off the Green last night May 20th 2022. The Portugese waiter was very entertaining, knowledgeable & also indulged us delaying ordering, as we were having such a great time laughing our heads off. The food was divine. Amazing starters; highly recommend the mushrooms; the haggis & black pudding was reportedly fantastic. Our mains were 2 x baby back ribs enormous portions, steak and sea bass. All excellent. Too full for desserts. Will definitely return. Lovely wines and cocktails. Well priced for London.
Cozy restaurant with great food and service. Went at lunch time without reservation although it might be better to book in advance and got a table for 2 right way. Staff was friendly and efficient - took the drinks order first , given us time to check the menu. I ordered grilled lamb chops and my wife got Hake fillet and both were great! Good selection of wines as well! We had a glass of Malbec. Definitely worth it.
We spent the afternoon at Kew but sadly they decided it was a great idea to close their food places at 1400. So off we trotted in search of food! Google, who knows me well, recommended this place. As usual, she was right. It was a good first sign that we all took our time to find what we wanted on the menu, as so much caught our eyes. We ended up with a couple burgers, a steak and some fish and chips. It was all thoroughly delicious. Service was flawless too. Sadly we aren't local, but when we visit Kew again we will be back. Many thanks indeed.
If you want a fantastic steak in a calming environment with properly made potent cocktails then with 5 star service, then there really is no other alternative. This restaurant knows how to cook meat with my medium rare T-Bone exactly medium rare and my wife's sirloin was as requested....well done even though I'm sure it's against the chefs creed to do so but the quality of the meat meant it was still tasty. Antonio, Tony and Eddie were as ever consumate hosts making us feel welcome and special. I can't recommend this little slice of grilled meat heaven highly enough and can only say...try it.
Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. Duck confit with a British twist was superb. Lovely vintage dessert wines were a fantastic highlight of our lunch. We walked in without a reservation, and the host managed to find a table for us. Later on the host asked us to move to a different table, which wasn’t a big deal at all. Yet, the host kept on apologizing and even gave as two glasses of wine free of charge at the end of our lunch! So nice of him! Fantastic place, highly recommended!
Couldn’t recommend highly enough. We had a delicious meal, both mains and desserts as pictured. The service was flawless and we enjoyed every minute.
This is a cozy place with interesting interior. The atmosphere was nice. The waiters were really kind and helpful. We had sirloin stakes with no sides. The meat was good but the last bit of it was really raw. The sides served with meat rocket and chips were small, so I would recommend to go for add sides or order some starters. Small glass of red wine cost close to £9 which in my opinion it a bit expensive.

We'd booked a table for 7 to celebrate my son's 18th birthday with family. My email was quickly answered by Antonio and he called to confirm too. Arriving for our 7pm Saturday evening booking, parking was easy just outside avoiding the ULEZ just yards away! and using RINGO cost just £4 for the evening. Very friendly greeting and restaurant lovely and cosy inside with table spacious and comfortable for all of us. Our very friendly waitress Olinda? made us feel really welcome and extensive wine list found us a lovely bottle of Côtes du Rhône for under £30. Jugs of icy tap water, olives and bread / butter for nibbles and we also ordered some pitta and hummus. Extensive menu with choices from Bistro or Grill. We had a selection of steaks, a burger and fish. Portions were generous and all steaks perfectly cooked as requested and sauces / butters accompanying really enhanced the experience. My son had the 24oz T Bone and I had the 24oz rib chop, both of which were absolutely divine and I haven't had a better steak in the UK for as long as I can remember! Side dishes of skinny fries and the rocket and red onion salad were just right and accompanied the dish perfectly. The restaurant had a really pleasant atmosphere and obviously has a lot of 'regulars'. Service was attentive but never overbearing and there was no 'hard sell' to buy more wine. We didn't have dessert as far too full, but everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals and were glad we made the 40 minute journey to Kew to experience The Grill off the Green. The cost was very reasonable considering adjacent property prices and for the quality of the food and the ambiance, it was money well spent! Thanks to Antonio and the team for making it such a pleasant experience and I'm sure that we'll be back for other special occasions in the future.
