We placed an delivery order first when we were new to London. Though I was a couple of kilometers away from their usual delivery limits they still delivered the food. Food was tasty and different from the other Indian places we knew. We moved to Leytonstone and are regular here. Food is always amazing. one of the best chicken biriyani I had outside of India. Staff are really friendly. Their fish mappas is a favorite and loved by all in my family. Chicken wings is my personal favorite too. Best South Indian restaurant around.
Keraspice is something special. Today I tried the crab curry set meal which came with rice and sag aloo. I was expecting minced crab in the sauce so I was a bit surprised to see it in the shell served with a pick and a nut cracker. I tucked into the sauce and rice first and then halfway through I took the plunge and got stuck into the crab itself. OH MY! What a delight, the crab reminded me of Canadian crab, in that the shell is although hard, it's soft enough to bite through you wouldn't risk this with an English crab. The meat is sweet and delicate unlike English crab which has a rock solid shell and the meat is a rougher texture. I should mention that the crab was cooked to perfection, sauce was caramelised onions with a medium spice, I can't really take my spice but this was just on the edge for me and I loved it. As a BBC, HKers are really picky when it comes to their shell fish. This is going to be my new go to when I'm feeling a taste for crab! Food is beautifully cooked here without meals swimming in ghee. Paratha's are flakey heaven. Service can be a bit slow but the food is well worth the wait, I didn't get the chaps name but he's always very friendly albeit very busy. The cocktails are good and reasonably priced.
Visited a couple of times for the South Indian dosa. Including cheese dosa Plain dosa Masala dosa Beef dosa Along with sizzler bbq
Amazing food and lovely staff. Dish to try - Malabar Paratha with Nadan Kozhi Curry Authentic Kerala dish !
Nice food at a good price. Good customer service too. I would definitely recommend this place.
Really nice take away and good value. As much as I put my hand up to enjoy a British Indian dish, it’s very nice to order from a menu where chicken tikka masala isn’t an option. We enjoyed a range of new dishes we’ve not had before and took me back to my holiday in Kerala 10 years ago
Food is delicious, fresh tasting and really different to the greasy standard curries that you get in most Indians - this food is really special. Staff are so lovely too. Service can be a bit slow when they get busy but they are very friendly and the food is worth the wait. Great value for money too
very Disappointed with the food. we have ordered a lamb curry & a fish curry both dishes were £7.99 each .tiny portions with about 4 small pieces of lamb and fish .and the worst paneer dish we ever had .I wasn't impressed with the food as they are catering for European palate. not for Asians. even the service was very slow as their main priority was doing take away's not the customers who was waiting to eat in . we would not go there again.
We decided to go here on the spur of the moment. Turned out it was a good decision. The food is South Indian and specifically from Kerala. We had the Kerala style fried fish - choose the king fish and not the salmon. It is just better that way. Then we had the Kerala style fish curry very yummy and the Uluva Kurukku lamb version and quite nice. We had Malabar parothas and rice. My friend washed it down with a kingfisher beer. Which he said hit the spot. I wish they had appams, but alas. Nonetheless I will surely return with my partner.
If you want a change from the regular choice of curries available from about 99% of the other Indian restaurants in this country and you should, then Keraspice is ideal. This is genuinely top quality, authentic South Indian food at very reasonable prices and in pretty large portions. Delivery can take a while I imagine they're pretty popular, they deserve to be, but I've never has food turn up cold or even only warm. There is a wider choice available in the restaurant itself, so it's worth going if you can.
