Amazing!!!! After booking a van from another company Nationwide Van Rental that failed to deliver my van as contracted, leaving me with a huge problem,. My partner called Kendall in Guildford. Not only did they have a van available, they also stayed open to wait. I cannot praise Kendall and their team at Guildford for digging me out of a huge hole and more importantly their swift, professional service. Well Done!!!!
A great company to rent a van or car from. They are very thorough in their checks of the vehicles before and after rental, and make it easy to extend the rental if needed. Unfortunately, the front desk and waiting area are incredibly old and in need of a refurb. It's quite a dark place, and more so for the staff than customers, could it do with a brightening up. My only other complaint would be that the cabs of the Luton van are terribly cramped if you are 6ft or more. There is very little space for tall drivers.
The place to go if you're looking for a van to rent. Don't worry about renting long term. It's perfectly managable with their pices.
Fiat 500 was absolutely perfect, however, the staff are inept and deceitful. After booking the car over the phone with the manager, I receive the confirmation email stating that my car had been booked for an additional day that I didn't want. I call them back and they say that's not a problem and they'll get my booking amended straight away. Nothing happens. On the pickup day, I bring the issue up again and am told that with this car there is a 7 day minimum rental. I explain that at no point did anyone mention this but whatever, I was in a rush so I said I'd just keep it for an extra day. No one says anything. At 7.56am the day before I am due to bring the car back I receive a call telling me my car is due back in 4 minutes. 4. Minutes. I could have been hundreds of miles away. After speaking to the manager over the phone and explaining the situation he is insistent that this is what I agreed to. Fortunately, I wasn't far away so I brought the car back in 30 mins and had it out with the manager again who still insisted that I agreed to this verbally. Why would anyone agree to pay for 7 days but bring it back in 6?! The staff had 3 opportunities to explain the 7 day minimum and the day it was actually due back, but no one said a word. Absolutely useless staff manager in particular who will do their best to misrepresent the terms and conditions. Avoid at all costs.
Very happy with Kendal Wandsworth. Good friendly service and vehicle and good value. Not so happy with GPS system but would still come back to them. Cheers!!
Excellent first experience renting a van. Very affordable prices, van was spotless when collecting and the process of paying, collecting and returning was very simple and convenient. Would absolutely recommend.
Went to pick up the van could hear someone out the back saying the van is a bit scummy and someone else saying it's ok the customer is scummy, didn't think anything of it at the time. After a while the van absolutely stank of cannabis, this made my girlfriend distraught as I was driving her to the airport and was panicking that she would be detained. I then spent time cleaning out the van and buying some deodoriser before I took the van to meet my customer. When I rang up to complain I was told to not worry about the negatives and that I was throwing my toys out the pram over something that isn't important. Which was the second time they insulted me that day. Cannot recommend and will not use again.
Been using Kendall for years. Never had any trouble with them, always friendly helpful and the cars/vans are well maintained.
