Boxing Day races , 2nd year with all the family and their cousins and others. Best Christmas presents to buy now they are all over 18.nnSuch an amazing day and so much funnnWhen we arrived, we met with the others and headed to the parade ring. Excellent to see the horses before.nnWe then went inside to get the drinks.nnThe queues move quickly for the drinks but it was clear to see that the guiness could have been done much quicker if they lined them half way through pouring as they took a while to settle.nnMy other observation was there could be more toilets in the premier enclosure. It was absolutely crazy waiting for the toilets. If there are more , I could not see them or the 20 plus ladies who were in the line with me.nnWhen we got hungry and needed to find something to eat, it was a little disappointing,there could have been more in the premier enclosure.nnThe food stalls are full of queues and overpriced but there is a huge selection.nnThe bar stayed open for about an hour or so after the last race so that was good while we waited for the taxi.nnDefinitely go to the races, it was so good to get out and have some family time away from the usual festive stuff.
We went for the first time, a Wednesday night race at the end of January. The weather, time, and day meant it was quite deserted. Despite this, it was a fantastic experience for us. Cars are widely used for transportation, that's quite clear. We came by train towards Shepperton, and delays on race day caused us to miss two races. The infrastructure is also very good, and the racecourse staff are very polite.nnIf you want to take photos, you need permission, but they are very helpful; it's not a long process. There are plenty of food and drink options inside, and more luxurious options are available upstairs. There are a sufficient number of betting offices. However, I was surprised that general racecourse entry, which is free in my country, is charged in England. But apparently that's how it is here. If you don't book online, you pay about 2 pounds extra at the entrance; children are free. The paddock, cafe-betting area, and racecourse are all wonderfully planned, in my opinion...nnThe lighting seemed a bit dim to me overall, the parking seemed adequate, but of course, it was a deserted January evening when we went...
Amazing race day I had at beginning of November. It was windy, it was rainy, but nevertheless it was an amazing experience. Guinness was great, food average. But still, it was my first time at a race course and I had a really really wonderful time. I also won some money from bets
Very cold bright day. Great view of the course especially the finish line. Really enjoyed the racingnEasily accessible by public transport
Good day out, despite cold temps and high winds. Nicely laid-out facility with its own train station, for extremely easy access from London. Reasonable entry prices. Trackside bookies gave good odds and were pleasant even fun to work with. All races went off as planned; no delays; announcements were clear; parade area for viewing horses pre-race was easily accessible. Indoor facilities including toilets were fine; food and drink were ample, as well as diverse. The Panorama Restaurant can be very expensive to enter if you do not book in advance -- so book in advance if you plan to go there. Definitely a track that I'd return to.
