We always enjoy coming to Kembrey Inn for a meal, be it a special treat breakfast, a family meal for dinner, a lunch date etc. . .this time round I visited with my husband, our friend and his partner, the meals were amazing, they all came out hot and cooked thoroughly, all three lads had alcoholic drinks ranging from pints to cocktails the prices are reasonable and I decided as the designated driver to try their mock tails out, very nice. We all left full and merry. . .
Had an amazing meal. Laura and the staff were really friendly and have kept the place ticking over and so tidy. Meal was really cheap as they had a offer for £9.49 for two meals. Will definitely be back to eat again and to try out the new menu which has alot of choice and also has calories on there for the people who need them.
My first visit, food was hot, well cooked and the portion was great. Would definitely visit again
Not 5 star. Well worth a 4 though. The food came out surprisingly quickly, hot and cooked to a good standard. I saw only three front staff to serve bar and tables who were working fast, so understandable no table check to ask if the food was OK. I will be back to try the Haddock which my friend had, looked better than my order. I had pie that I did enjoy
Popped in on the spur of the moment. Didn't look too busy, pick a table and order at the bar. Placed an order and was advised of a 30 minute wait for food. In the event it was nearer 50 minutes before food arrived. Server asked if we needed anything else, asked for some condiments which never arrived. Food was good but not hot but good value nonetheless. Shame they couldn't tell the difference between mushy peas served and garden peas ordered. Fancied a pudding and was assured of a 10 minute wait reduced to 5 minutes after some consideration. After 27 minutes we were still waiting so cancelled the order and received a refund. Ironically, the staff member who promised the 5 minute wait was the one who actioned the refund and was completely ambivalent about the whole situation. I can only imagine how bad the service would be on a busy day. Unlikely to return anytime soon.
Many restaurants seem to struggle with Christmas meals, with their offerings of a much lower quality and portion size than their usual fare, usually at a premium cost too. Not so the Kembrey Inn. We were delighted with the quality, the portion size and the speed and care of service, and impressed that they were at the top of their game just like any other time of year we visit. Awesome Christmas meal, we'll be back!
Went for a work Christmas breakfast and was not disappointed. The food and service were amazing. Was nice to have vegetarian stuff cooked fresh so at least I felt included in my group. Only downfall was the lighting that failed on the day but these things happen. Top marks for serving marmite Vegetarian options: Nice that a vegetarian bacon and sausage is offered, more than most places! Parking: Loads of free parking so no issue there
A mixed experience every time I visit. Don't go expecting much. Staff are nice but constantly understaffed so meals are slow and wait times can be high. Decent selection of drinks but not up to wetherspoons standard. Prices are standard. Atmosphere nice, not a loud place.Food: 3/5
The food was good but the service was poor the gentleman waiting table wasn't the best maybe more training needed in communication with clients and a smile wouldn't go amiss snatching plates is not good. Coffee machine not working offered sachets and expected to pay the same price, always been and enjoyed until today it was a birthday treat which was spoilt.
The food was nice, but it is 'chain store' so nothing extra special. Great service and the manager went the extra mile to make my son and daughter-in-law feel special. Thank you.x Wheelchair accessibility: Very accessible premises
