Authentic Japanese restaurant. Price is very high but quality is also high. Well trained staffs and full of Japanese atmospheres. worth to pay for Japanese living abroad and missing home or would like to try Japanese food, not only sushi. I didn't make a reservation for lunch but it was full after 12:30. Might be better to make a reservation before visit.
Best traditional Japanese food I’ve had in London! Food was really delicious and well balanced—I got the dark miso soup and grilled salmon, along with a side of Japanese pickles. Highly recommend! Great menu selection as well.
Such an delicious restaurant in the heart of Mayfair. Often very full and I’d recommend to book in advance. The chefs are great and the quality of their sashimi is outstanding. The special Kiku dessert is a classic and we enjoying it a lot. Friendly staff, great food and a beautiful ambience to eat with friends or family. There is a bar area if you are going alone.
A brisk welcome and shown to our traditional plain table and offered a reasonably priced selection drinks and wines. The sashimi was generous portion and very very fresh. The authentic Japanese eel followed then came shabu shabu. Our host took great care at the cooking at the table and the presentation of this dish.Recommended dishesSpecial Assorted Sashimi Selection
Had a really good Sushi Lunch Menu: tasty miso salad, high quality fish surprised by how good the egg was, miso soup was one of the best I ever had. Perhaps could have been more generous with the fruit amount but overall great experience. The Chef and the staff are very well-mannered and nice.
First time rate 1 star on google map. I would definitely say 0 if possible. Staffs there are soooo rude. When we were kindly ask for our food for the third time, they said us bad in front of us in Japanese.
One of the leading authentic Japanese restaurants in London. The sushi, where you can feel the air between the grains of rice, is quite impressive. With that level of prices I really expect something more than that quality of food and service. I am a bit disappointed as the food is just same quality of the meals in fair prices restaurants in Japan Tokyo/Kyoto. But they charged a lot higher here London. Also, they are so rush and sent me the bill before I asked of it. It was just a bit more than an hour to finish the lunch and we actually intend to chat for a little while to drink the tea we ordered. Really, it is the first time in UK to be sent a bill like this. No, they won't do it even in any decent restaurants either in UK or Japan. Usually I am the one in hurry and chased for the bill. The same experience I can only find in HK that the restaurant owner said they intend to have 4 rounds of customers in one night for the same table, so there is usually a 1.5 hour limit for meal time but they sent you away once you finished the food even it is only 45 mins after you started. But no they mentioned nothing of the kind when I booked the table for the Birthday lunch so I really won't expect the time limit. Not impressive by both the food and the service so I don't think I will be visiting again. Maybe I am mistaken and £30 per person for lunch can only be considered eating cheap and fast food in London Mayfair/Soho restaurant? Then, sorry, my fault.
I would never come to this restaurant again. We ordered food for 720 pounds, the food is good, but the sushi came late and service charge for 90 pounds. On the menu, the service charge is discretionary. But the staff said the service charge is compulsory. The manager and staff are lying and being racism and forced us to pay the service charge.
This place is nearly right beside my hotel I stayed in. I don’t live in London; I live in England. The tastes were delicious. I had two tempura lunch set menus today around 2pm see a picture below It isn’t too expensive deciding that it was quite enough. I would highly recommend it to everyone. They serve real Japanese food. Their tables are well spaced out; they leave one to two table in between. Its safe to go; remember that I have considered the 1.5 metre rule. Will come again definitely.
