I loved my time here for the most part. Great books were read and good friends were made.

AWFUL UNI! Very unsafe, expensive and the accommodation is dreadful!! I don't know why they have awards and why their ratings are high because most the people i have talked too feel the same. They only stay because they have made good friends or its the only place where their course is ect. For starters they have 2 CCTV cameras on campus and they don't even work. In the winter the campus is pitch black and gloomy due to lack of street lights. Some places don't even have street lights and the path is completely black when you're walking home. Apparently the year before me was very bad for crime due to it being so dark. The accommodation is awful for what you pay! If you are sharing a kitchen and bathroom the halls are smelly the kitchens cramped and dirty. One hall is 5 stories and doesn't even have a lift! If you have an en-suit the room is very big but incredibly dated. For the price of the room you might as well go to a different uni and get a better place to live. The kitchens are the worst in the en-suits. They claim to have more space and thats what makes them different. Its a complete lie. Not even twisting the truth, its a lie! The en-suit kitchens shared by 8 people are half fridges and freezers both with 3 slots in each so you have to share a shelf, if you're lucky. The other accommodation is the same but they are two big fridges shared between 20. For the same price you can get a modern room and actually have space in the fridge and freezer(as normal unis have the standard size fridge and two of them. Lets talk how stupidly expensive the campus is. The one food shop sells cheese for £5. The corner shop sells 79p cards for £2. The best part is if you want to go else where you have to get a £4 bus for a day rider. I live down south and i pay £2.50 for mine. Its actually cheaper to get two student singles. You save 20p. The bus drivers have to be the rudest in England. I had one yell at me to hurry up when i was trying to pick up my change (nobody was behind me) i have had them mumble to themselves in anger. I have a hearing problem and i asked where the bus was going. Didn't catch it the first time so, i apologised and asked again. The bus driver shouted in my face where was going and that he has already told me that. I have seen them do similar stuff to others on the bus. Its disgusting. Some of the teachers are very bad too. I have had a few sending an email out saying that doing 2 lectures and a practical or a full day of lectures is hard on their voice so guess what, Instead of teaching us they put it all online. I couldn't believe the cheek and laziness of some teachers. Im not paying £9250 a year for them to tell us they cant be bothered to do their job!

Very nice campus, lots of trees and nature to provide a back drop of serenity with birds and pathways to enjoy while on campus.

Overall it's a Very good University. The reason I give ONE STAR is the acomdation that my son is in.My son dosn't want me to interfering.Thats the way he is.But as a father I have to said something.THERE is a constant high pitch whining noise in this room(how he can study or sleep I don't know!).THEY said it the heating system and can't do anything about IT. Seriously?

Not worth going into £45k in debt. Only northerners from ethnic minorities, very few from down south.
