Food was delicious! Large portions and tasted fresh. Service was okay...had a hard time getting my bill...we had to sit in the bar area and the bar was packed so I couldn't get someone's attention for quite awhile. The server also never came to check on us and I would have liked another drink. I will definitely be back though.
Yet again was not disappointed only to be even more thrilled at my food experience, the starter trio of fish was stunning, full of flavour and quality fish, Main course seafood linguini top class as ever, treated myself to a cocktail. Service is absolutely brilliant too, the buzz and friendliness is great. Thank you all.
As people know its rare I give a 5 star to anyone . Well here it is my first 5 star of 2022 . The Amazing Katie Dalys pub and restaurant in Gorey . Well I can't even cope with the place. We had 2 starters 3 mains YES 3 and 2 desserts. Well the starters I had the prawn in garlic butter and I almost drooled with the smell and the taste jeeeeuss. Partner had the wings and devoured them . I've never had pasta in a restaurant so we ordered it with 2 sirloins which may as well have been fillets cooked to perfection with mash and proper chunky soft veg. Steak melted away and their rustic chips savage isn't a good enough word. And the desserts where almost too hard to finish but tasted so good I had to . The staff can not be rated any higher if I cud give em 100 I would friendly kind quick to clear chatty and want to make u happy the cocktails almost sent me to the grave they where amazing freshly made Mojiito cudnt have been better and the Daqueri sent the missus to the bed early lol it can not be faulted for location service taste price or quality I challenge anyone to go there and not have an amazing time and be rolled outta the place order the Pasta but also word of caution the portions are for GIANTS lol
I’ve been hearing about Katie dalys for awhile now and I finally got the chance to try it for myself today. Very happy with my experience. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly. the menu is extensive with a lot of options even for someone as fussy as me. Great experience, I’ll be back every time I’m in Gorey
On the stay in around Gorey Town, we've decided to take a short stay in one of the restaurants in town and we've chose Katie Daly's Bar which is what I would say typical Irish design oriented towards very good food and atmosphere. We didn't have reservation and were seated very fast matter of seconds. Staff was very helpful in making recommendations towards food and also explaining them. As we had kids with us food was served very fast after order for them which makes small ones happy and also we prefer that. Sadly didn't had a moment for taking pictures of the food as we were starving . But portions were really generous and delicious. Keep a good job.
Wow that's really all I can say about the food in Katy Daleys. We went here on Wednesday night while we were on a visit to Gorey. .. I had the most fabulous Rib Eye Steak I've ever eaten and the hubby Paddy ordered the Fish and Chips .... The whitest fish with thin batter .. we will definitely be back . Id have no hesitation to recommend Katy Daleys Foid . But make sure you are hungry as they give you A GOOD FEED in this wonderful restaurant hi
What in the holy heavens did I get myself into! The portion size!!! My god the portion size! Enough for 2 people at least! For only 15.50. Super homely service. Felt like I was meeting a friend in their house for dinner. Man I love this spot in gorey. And if you get the chillis with the House Pasta, have plenty water ready! It’s hotter than an Aussie summer and spicier than satans kitchen
I had a two course meal here and I was impressed. I had tomato and chorizo soup with parmesean for starter and cod burger and chips for main course. The presentation on both dishes was of high quality and the taste was good too. It's good value for money here and I would recommend a trip.
Always amazing food staff are very friendly and welcoming. You don't need to book ahead of time. Bar part is great too relaxed atmosphere
The food here is really really good. Big portions. Very fresh and tasty. Only negative was the hostess did not explain that, while she couldn't seat us for an hour, we could get the same menu in the bar where there were plenty of seats. Other than that the service was great.
