Recently in for food, seems like a really good drinking pub will a bit if atmosphere. Service was good and staff seemed friendly and polite. Food itself was good pub food. Chips and mash and gravy was really good. Reasonable price food with decent portion sizesFood: 4/5
Had a lovely meal here after seeing it on Tripadvisor we thought we would give it a whirl. Warm welcome, friendly bar tender and lovely food. Great local pub highly recommend.

Very good food. Good Irish coffee and good location across from the castle. Service was decent. Stopped in for a quick lunch.
Friendly Service and Great Food. The Thai Curry is one of the best I've tasted and they also do a good Scampi. The atmosphere is pretty good too with awesome, cozy booths if you can grab one and a lot of Limerick heritage on the walls and around.

Heading just exhausted me wife on a short walk we stopped in at Katie's for dinner... Had the roast and was not disappointed! Subbing out the vegs cancelled out the benefits off the walk... But I was happy!
We had a delicious burger and a steak sandwich. I was especially impressed by the steak sandwitch with onions, very delicious. Had a good toffee ice cream as dessert. Only complaint really is that the men's toilet was in a state of disrepair, which isn't a surprise considering this is a pub.
Oldest pub in Limerick they say. Old school pub with food we had lunch here. Quite good. Also gluten-free alternatives. Big area outside with view to the castle. Not to the river Shannon tough. Very good staff. There are restrooms in the basement which where closed the moment we where there. Upstairs WC available. Not for wheelchair. Parking outside in street
