Lovely place for friends and couples I think! The staffs are really nice and all menu's great, yet my favourite was the soup on the restaurant course starter. I normally don't like the creaminess of any soup but Kala's soup was full of fresh taste of each ingredient.
We went to Kala for the first time for their Valentine's Day menu and we were very impressed! The food was absolutely fantastic and I wanted to try all the menu, the service was very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was very nice with perfect levels of lighting and music. We'll definitely come back!Food: 5/5
Really enjoyable dinner location, bringing a little luxury to the evening. The lovely interior is elegant with some shine added in. Staff are attentive with even new team members drilled to look after the hungry. The open kitchen is a nice touch and only adds to the delight. Food wise it strikes a great balance between great cooking and menu size. The 2 courses were plenty for us though dessert looks really appetising. The duck was fantastic and cooked beautifully. One note is that everything we tried was quite rich so great for those looking for a little indulgence rather than just a light bite. The wine list is pretty impressive and the recommended wine pairings are well chosen. I wish the place the best of luck over the next year, it's great for small groups and brilliant value. It's a lovely mix of value, a touch of fine dining and a base of grounded hearty accessible food for body and soul.
The best restaurant I’ve tried in Manchester so far! The atmosphere is buzzing and the staff are attentive and cheerful. The food is delicious with a fab range of texture and great flavour combinations pushing the boat out while avoiding being unappetising. Recommend for meat lovers and veggies alike.Recommended dishesRoast Duck Breast, Parmesan Chips
We've been really looking forward to trying Kala bistro and it did not disappoint. The staff provided a really warm welcome and friendly attentive service throughout. The food was exceptional. Each dish had amazing flavours and the stand out dishes were the octopus special and the duck which was a really generous portion. I'm already looking forward to coming back soon and trying the rest of the menu! Bravo team.
Great food and a lively atmosphere. If it says it's fully booked online make sure you call as there were tables available. The creme brulee is huge but good so it can be shared to finish the meal nicely. Staff were very friendly and attentive
I visited on a Thursday a few weeks ago and had the early dining menu. I loved that I could eat at the counter as i was dining on my own. I was given a piece of focaccia whilst waiting which is the best I've ever tasted. I then chose the crispy mussels, Pork rib eye and finished with Cremè brulee. I can honestly say it was the best restaurant meal I've tasted in a long time. The staff were friendly and chatty and I can't wait until I'm back home in Manchester to enjoy another visit, 100% recommend.
Went for Sunday lunch. Food was outstanding, one of the best roast beefs I’ve had, and the Mrs’ chocolate dessert went down well. Slightly pedestrian service - took 2 and a quarter hours to do 2 course Sunday lunch. Servers were otherwise really friendly and welcoming. I couldn’t place the style of the place. Has a great reputation and prime spot on King Street but is equally somewhere you can enjoy your roast in your tracksuit. Or is that normal for everywhere now in 2022?
The food was incredible. We were sat at the counter and James made great cocktails and wine recommendations. Will be back again next time I’m in Manchester
Amazing experience as always. Great FOH who make the best cocktails and chefs that produce some of the best dishes in Manchester....Tip - everything is really good but make sure you order a side of T&P or Invisible chips fat free better still buy both!!
