With only 3 other reviews I thought it best to write this one: Firstly, the date: 31st March 2018. The last review was 1 star from 9 months ago. In early 2018, and in my opinion, Jewel are a good company as regards product quality. After sales support is a bit 'hit and miss' but it's not awful. Products are of high quality though, so usually support isn't required. Also, there are such good Aquarium specialists in the shops, and even more so online, that you can always get some help. Juwel stuff is generally slightly higher priced at the level they aim for, but the build quality,, the ruggedness of materials, and the included instructions are all very good in my experience. In this case, the old adage that, "you get what you pay for" is true. One point though: If buying a filter and pump unit, be careful to assess the impact of the flow rate on your aquarium. As an example: The Eccoflow 1000 stirred-up my aquarium (which contains 1/4 tonne of water, i.e. 250 litre) in a similar way to what happens if you use a table-spoon to stir a small cup of tea! The fish were literally dizzy, and the plants were straining to uproot themselves. In the same aquarium, the Eccoflow 600 left my plants still attached to their roots and the fish could hold their positions rather than just zipping around in the vortex...

A company is only as good as its after sales service and Juwel has a very, very poor one.
