This hotel is definitely not up to four-star standards. While the reception staff was friendly and welcoming, the overall experience was disappointing. The rooms were clean and had basic amenities, but everything felt incredibly outdated. The toilet kept running non-stop, and the shower curtains had visible rust patches, which was quite off-putting. Looks like three star.
We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is fantastic, and the parking is ample and reasonably priced. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.nnThe room was spotlessly clean, and the reception was warm and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was smiling and providing excellent service.
Couldn't ask for better service from Matthew and Simon opened the bar for us at midnight when they closed, opened the kitchen at midnight for pizza, upgraded all our rooms because out of 4 couples 2 of the rooms were under maintenance so out of good hospitality they upgraded the other rooms. Can fault the hotel, clean tidy and cleaners come daily to top up and restock rooms. Carl behind the bar is very helpful and friendly. Recommended hotel
Not quite a patch on the one we stayed in last week.nBetter placed just off the city through road.nChecking room prices on the day. All far cheaper than what we paid earlier in the year?nMy daughters Supreme room seemed identical to ours, but £30+ dearer? Will take that up as we leave, no doubt.
So clean, lovely staff. Room was spacious, well laid out with great long mirror on wall for makeup, clothes etc handy plug sockets for drying hair- not always a given so I always take extension leads!nExtensive menu, nice bar, snacks / drinks avail from reception. Nice hospitality tray - even fruit tea - perfect night cap..nExceeded my expectations. Location goond too, 15 mins from Meadowhall & 6 mins walk to Leadmill for gig I was going to. Definitely recommend.
