Just off the M1 on the A512. At the side of the road well signed. Large truckstop fuel available UK fuels as well as others. Concreted Park bays marked out room for all. Cafe first class food is ace and coffee brilliant. Facilities are superb staff warm and friendly and helpful covid aware. Very pleasant place to dine.
Lots of space to park up. We only stopped to fuel up the truck and ourselves! Spotlessly clean inside and out. Cafe was immaculate despite being busy. We had two cheese, ham and salad sandwiches and two coffees for £6, the hot food smelt amazing and the curry I saw being dished up looked great. They have a separate lounge area with a fully stocked purpose built bar, lots of very comfy looking seats and a stage.
You security guard on nights is the most ignorant person I’ve ever spoke to what a k—b fare enough no spaces but wouldn’t even tell me any where close I could park just no need to talk to people like he did. You would probably have 5 star rating if you had someone decent on security.
I ordered the big breakfast! The woman serving it up was extremely rude, she was absolutely awful to communicate with.. I asked if I could have black pudding instead of mushrooms her answer was "no its against the rules' slamming the plate down infront of me.. the food was nice and the lady on the till was lovely, but short lady serving was horrible.. that is why I rate this 1 star.
Nice little place. Choose this location because of SNAP. Big SHAME not giving Meal Vouchers. Just be aware of this.
Parking is not good , to many foreign unit only parked in bays , need to be doubled up to get more in , cafe empty because they r all cooking outside there trucks , bar empty , needs someone on the truck park to allocate parking bays
Good food, ok parking if early, can be tight getting in a space otherwise. Friendly staff, extremly expensive though. Most snap give a food voucher, thats no excuce, just greed. Have you ever wondered why your cafe is never full......?
I was driving past, needed a break and I stopped here. I thought it was a great place. Had no dramas parking up, the place has a shower and clean toilets. The menu is insane. You can literally eat what ever you want. Alot to offer. The coffee is decent and the ladies that worked there were very polite and understanding. If you need a break and are hungry, this is defo the place to get a 30/45 min rest.....
Dated/basic inside but clean. Showers need a revamp I'm not leaving phone, wallet, keys outside the cubicle where anyone could take them! Cubicle looked tiny I'm only a 38"waist & it felt small. Cant comment on the food, as nothing appealed to me on the menu. Tried the bar area for food/drink but no staff behind the bar, got bored waiting. It's rair that I treat myself to the "luxury" of a truck stop, overall I wish I hadn't bothered tonight.
Went in last week for the 1st time in 5 + years. Still clean . Loos are excellent as are showers. Food was great , fresh home cooked, every stop should be like this, proper parking all marked. ANPR entry 2 hrs free parking. Garage shop pub at night. Can't fault it it's as good as ever .. Well done to the staff
