It’s always kept in immaculate condition and always has a nice feel to it, though it’s a sad place to visit, my sister is buried there, and it’s always been lovely and beautiful and clean
Sadly had to visit this new place but found it to be beautifully kept & it was very huge. Compared to Sunderland crematorium/cemetery this is at least 20x bigger! The gardens & land that is, the service area was in a very small room & not everyone could sit as there were not enough chairs. The attention to the gardens etc did make the worst day of our lives a little bit better.
Beautiful quite large Cemetery with memorial garden and crematorium. Easy access for cars around the edge and a road through the middle with many different footpaths for quiet walks. Usually only one or two people here at a time. I lived nearby for a while and would often walk through enjoying the wildlife. Deer have been spotted along with a great diversity of birds and butterflies. There are public toilets near a side entrance. Cemetery closes early in Winter months.
Small Chapel for service. Felt very intimate.
Lovely resting place in North Shields.
Ideal for a walk in peace and quiet
