It’s third time visiting this place whenever i come to Bakewell. Friendly staff who could advise on their selection of craft beers, spirits or wines. Log burning stove kept the room cosy. Anyhow at least we had good time here.
Lovely experience here! Great service and great drinks. I was unsure which one to order and the staff offered to try. My family liked the draft beer and wine a lot. Thank you, we love Bakewell!
In Bakewell for the new year! Husband saw this gem of a place but was so busy yesterday! Struck gold today when got in! Sitting here now with a fantastic array of beers from local brewery’s! Atmosphere is relaxed! Owner welcoming and roaring log fire to keep us cosy! Good choice for our new years celebrations! Highly recommend
Visited after a long walk, while waiting for my bus north.nI found this ale house to be both convivial and welcoming, the groups local and further reaching drinks on tap and bottle were many, however the helpful staff behind the bar soon led me to something that both quenched my thirst and almost had me missing my bus.nDefinitely worthy of any visit to Bakewell, and suitably away from the madding crowds.
A good selection of beers, and it's great to see an ever changing selection although they are not always kept well. Unfortunately, there's a general feeling of grubbiness, complimented by an unpleasant smell. It needs a good clean and a lick of paint.nThis place has so much potential, and could be so much better.
