went to Johnsons dry cleaners to use their dress shortening service as I had to have a bridesmaid dress taken up and didn't know of any seamstresses in the area. I tried asking a bridal shop on the High Street but they were very unhelpful but this service came up on a Google search and when I telephoned them to explain my requirements Johnsons cleaners were very helpful and told me that to shorten the dress would take around 10 days and cost £30. I was pleasantly surprised by the price and quick service so I decided to give it a go. When I went to the Worle branch I was served by Mandy who was extremely friendly and helpful. She checked the dress over and noticed a slight pull in the material and she said that she would try and make this better by steaming the dress once the alterations were complete. I asked if the dress hem could be stitched as it is now event though it looked like a complicated machine stitch and she included this request with my order. Less than a week later I received a text saying that my dress was ready for collection. When I collected the dress Mandy was very helpful and showed me the work which had been completed and checked I was happy with it. She explained that she had pressed the dress and advised how I should carry the dress to keep it free of creases until the wedding. It was a first class service for a very reasonable fee.Service: Alterations
I have been using the services of this shop for years. The staff are always incredibly efficient and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I am a petite woman who needs fairly frequent alterations to clothes. These are organised in a timely fashion and recently the service has been getting even faster which I really appreciate. This is especially helpful when I have deadlines for events and need the alterations urgently. We now don’t go anywhere else for dry cleaning, alterations and repairs. Always meticulous and careful.
