Can never find a shop floor assistant and when you do they are invariably unable to help, to then go off to find 'someone who knows'... never to be seen again. Some assistants are good but the majority are rude and disinterested. This however is pretty endemic in all JL stores. And continually going downhill. Shame: customer service used to be fantastic.
I went into the High Wycombe store to return items from an online order. I was served by a rude, condescending jumped up young woman who treated me with nothing but disrespect. When I tried to speak to a manager - nobody was on the floor. Apart from a rather rude older member of staff who was just as rude and condescending. Very clear that these people are incredibly unhappy and think it’s ok to take their frustrations out on customers! I don’t be shopping there again!
Went to look at smart exercise devices . Didn't have any I could try on, but my grandson got enough to order from JL online. Also looked at beds. Impressed by display and that of TVs.
You don't charge a tenner for tepid, congealed 'food' kept on a hot plate unless you are particularly lazy / greedy. Dried out, hard eggs and some mush which I think were once hash browns, all served at room temperature. For that money it should be freshly cooked.
Second time in a row getting a cold full English breakfast with charred toast, not nice especially for my 3 year old. There was practically no one there so no excuses for the poor quality of food, they clearly just aren't bothered otherwise they would have some standard to what they're serving.
A beautiful shop, at the moment they have stunning Christmas decorations and trees too. I received excellent customer service and its a pleasure to shop there. I love how convenient the free parking is and the cafe is lovely too. Highly recommended!
Looking for a new cooker,very helpful staff, happy to answer any questions we had. Store could do with some more signage to help you find the area you need although the staff are ready to point you in the right direction.
Good sized full range JL with plenty of free parking and easy access from M40. Proper dept stores are getting rare so stores like John Lewis need our support. This store has everything you need and it’s all good quality. Good range of electrical items as well as furniture, beauty, clothing, gifts and even sports which has gone from some JL’s. In-house restaurant/ cafe can provide a drink with a cake or something hot if you prefer a meal.

Accepted WhatsApp alternative - standard responses now 40 mins later still no reply. DPD automatic response - discuss in 4 days time! Exciting experience ruined by DPD & lack of JL support!
This review is about The Place to Eat - the internal restaurant. It's certainly not a place to eat if you're vegan. It's pretty poor if you're veggie. I've given one star because the single dish available was fresh but it was The Only Dish. Not even a sandwich. They did have non dairy milk but other than that if you didn't like tomatoes and soggy croutons then you were scuppered. It looked ok but it was outrageously expensive for chopped tomatoes, soggy croutons, a couple of basil leaves, a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds and balsamic vinegar. Come on JL - get into the 21st C!
