"We left Eileen in the best of hands" was the verdict of our family after the death of my sister. From start to finish John, Angie and Paul dealt with us with total respect, sympathy and honesty. On the day of the cremation everything went according to plan. The Humanist Celebrant Stewart Struthers also presented the eulogy perfectly. All in all a Platinum Service by everyone.
Absolutely no respect was given to me allowed people in after I told them the lid was to be put on they do the opposite of what you ask avoid at all costs. Edit - after the reply on this I just want to say this was my honest review and was disgusted at the treatment John had given us, he took a side in the family feud which should never have been done as a professional. We were all upset and heartbroken my husband had passed away and as his wife I wanted to be the last one to say goodbye and give my husband his last kiss he would ever have as the paying customer I asked for the lid to be closed after this which was ignored. John then lied to me about it all and I was then told things were taken from my husbands coffin by said daughter which had great pleasure in telling us this which could have been avoided if John had done what I requested to be done, I’ve now to live with knowing what she’s done to me and I hope John is happy with himself. My review was so John could take head and avoid this happening with families in the future as to be honest every other part of my husbands funeral was spot on, every wish of husbands was carried out but this did upset me.
As a family we are very thankful to John and his co workers for the lovely, dignified and caring service they provided to us both throughout planning of the day and in the actual day along with after care. We received the most respectful service from John and all his colleagues. Would highly recommend John. As a family we do not agree with the review left from Ryan Geddes, and his words are not true in regards to the service John provides or the service we received. Thank you again to John.
Hi John, So sad to have read a review from My Dads wife stating you let ppl in after she asked for my Dads coffin to be closed.the only person that was in after her was me his Daughter. That day a struggled was the last day a would ever see my Dad again.so a come along with a photo of me & my Dad on my wedding day,so heartbroken was so scared but a had to see him one last time. I came into the parlour there wasnt anyone at the desk so a waited a few minute then a went into see my Dad in the poppy room. When a came out Angela was at the desk and a was completely heartbroken she conforted me gave me glass of water and spoke abit before a left.thanks so much for letting me see my dad and spend every day/night with him.you & your daughter Angela are amazing people who from the start seen the whole family through a very difficult time.there are family fued thats where this has come from as she isnt happy me seeing my dad after her. We know why this is but you couldnt have done anymore for my Dad and his family.me & my sisters are very grateful. Your excellent at your job, made for the job itself.your compassionate and give the utter most respect to everyone. My Dad had respect for you, thats why we had chosen you to organise his final goodbyes to his loved ones, family & friends Take care.
Willie Turnbull Paul and the staff made dealing with this part of Willie's death so easy. They were there from the start organizing everything and helping us all the way. Paul had the Cremation time by the next day, helped us put the Order of Service together, booked the tea and was there for us on the day. Gordon, Vicky and myself are so grateful for all Paul's help and care. Many thanks.
John and his team are nothing short of amazing.My sister suddenly passed away at the young age of 27 and the team looked after her and us like we were family.From the first phone call to her final journey and beyond John,Angela,Paul and everyone else involved were calm,compassionate and very professional and they gave her the day she deserved.Highly recommend
Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts for the professional and respectful way you looked after our beloved son Iain,from the day he passed away till the day he was laid to rest the tender care Iain and we as a family received was very much appreciated,i did not expect to get the calls after to check that we were ok so much care and concern for the family as well,Paul made sure everything we asked for happened.To all the staff at John Gilfillan,Thankyou
