If I could give 0 stars I would. They came out 3 weeks ago to replace a felt roof as I was having water come through into my house when it rains. A week later it rained and again I got water through my ceiling. Found out today they hadn't even replaced the roof correctly, and tried to bodge a hole with filler and felt. My bricks are now damaged, needing then to be replaced. Shocking company, and the staff are not customer focused at all.
Just had a run in with drivers very abusive registered number ys 69 wzc had to swerve out his way and brake suddenly in my 18 ton wagon on 7th March 2024 at 8.00am on the a1 please have word with him about his driving skills
I don’t know where to start.. I am utterly infuriated with this company. Ok first of all my wife and I live on a Council Estate and we are foster carers and we have two small boys who live with us. So anyway, we were told that the whole of our Estate would be getting new roofs, which I was a bit puzzled by because the roofs on our house were fine. So they arrived to do the bungalows out the back of our house which elderly people live in. To tell you the truth I worked on building sites as a dry liner in my younger days and I never heard such loud yobbish sounds that were coming out of the mouth of these men.. Shouting and yelling aggressively at each other and using F words and C words at full volume.. absolutely disrespectful behaviour and I assume that the elderly residents were upset, because there was no need to shout foul language. I noticed that they left the bitumen underfelt on the bungalows and added the fresh membrane on top of it which I thought was a good idea. But when my wife asked the person who we assumed was the boss if he would leave ours on he said no it’s “ rotten “ and it has to come off. Yet my wife made the same person aware that we use our attic as a storage area, I paid to have flooring installed so we could use it as an extra room for space to store clothes, bedding, toys, collectibles and other various items, but when she asked if we needed to empty the attic he said no just remove any valuables. So after the work was completed I went in the attic to put my valuables back, I couldn’t believe what I saw.. every single thing is covered with concrete fragments and debris, grit everywhere like a bomb site.. I’m absolutely enraged at the mess that they made. Then when it was time to take the scaffold down, the workers were just slamming the heavy poles down onto the flagstones and throwing the heavy scaffold clasps onto the floor and I knew that they would be doing damage.. I would have thought that they would have used something like a plywood sheet to prevent the paving from being damaged.. but they didn’t. So after they left I had a look and sure enough they had smashed 3 paving slabs and to top it off they had pulled a phone line down that runs across the front of our garden.. honestly this is a joke of a company. Now I have the task of vacuuming cleaning every single item in my attic all because the “ Boss “ decided that they had to remove the underfelt which in fact was not rotten and he couldn’t have known what condition it was in because he hadn’t even been in my attic to validate his claim.. and if he had any decency he would have left it on and put the new membrane on top, which wouldn’t have been a problem and it would have saved me a lot of time.. I assume he was just being a jobsworth. Other than the obvious issues I mentioned, the roof tiles are neat and tidy.. but it’s totally irrelevant as far as I am concerned, because we didn’t need new roofs, there was nothing wrong with the existing ones in the first place. Absolutely disgraceful firm and I would never recommend them to anyone.
No notice of the need to use my land, no indication of the time of work. Absolutely furious over the lack of courtesy. Completed the work fixing broken roof tiles next door, by 1145, left and left the scaffolding up blocking the use of our bathroom window. When are you coming to take it down? Lets hope it’s not at the same rate you put on the roofs for Esh Homes, one month behind schedule!
TAYLOR WIMPEY use flowers as a contractor promised 6 different dates to complete a small roofing snag on our new house over 5 months , promised call backs by harry a manager no call back and no return of my calls , iam surprised TW continue to use poor contractors like this .NegativeResponsiveness, Punctuality, Professionalism
