Get your fish n chips from here, it's great. Portions are large and great value for money, fish and chips arent at all greasy, and the fish had loads on it. Peas and curry sauce was both great and only 50p! Best I've had up this way. Expect a wait because it's so popular, but defo worth it. Parking: Parking outside or in near coop car park
Great fish and chips tonight. Freshly cooked and still hot when we arrived home. The curry sauces fruity and spicy were also good! Generous portions too. Couldn’t finish the regular sized one!
I have seen reviews for this fish and chip shop, so I thought I'd try it. Can't complain about the portion sizes, fish and chips enough for 2 people and the haggis and chips was also large. The only thing was the batter on the fish, it was thick and very doughy. Fish tasted lovely and fresh. Parking: Co-op car park opposite and on street parking.
An all-time classic. Great servings of fresh, good quality fish in a proper batter and decent helpings of chips. Not complete without the curry sauce. The people here are lovely and some real characters. I visit every time that I’m in the area.
There was a large queue but that was no reflection on the service but a mark of the quality. The fish and chips were delicious and the scampi was the best I have ever eaten. The staff were incredibly friendly and the prices were reasonable considering the size of the portions. Everything is cooked fresh so there is a slight wait but in my opinion completely worth it. Highly recommended. Parking: Lots of on street parking.
Food was beautiful as always! Extremely busy at John Dory on Good Friday but staff were amazing and worked so hard to serve everybody quickly and efficiently! Will def be backFood: 5/5
Visited for fish and chips on Saturday evening, quite a queue outside which we took as a good sign! Ordered and were told there was a 15min wait but our order was ready within 10mins. We were not disappointed, food was piping hot, chips were cooked well and the fish was fresh and just the perfect flakiness and crispy batter that we wanted. Very reasonable prices for the portions, we will definitely stop here again.
HUGE portions and damn cheap too and very yummy! Husband got fish and chips with mushy peas and I got chicken nuggets with chips and gravy. The gravy was nice and thick. The shop is small but worth going just to see how well known the place is and also how well known the locals are to the owners. Lovely food and great local chippy :D
Today October 14th at lunch that fish abs chips was divine ! The batter crispy and the haddock delish My dad loved his scampi also ! Here’s enjoy your holiday
Quick service, friendly staff. MASSIVE PORTIONS! Best fish and chips I've ever had! Great prices, lovely lovely food. Parking: Parking on street.
