Fantastic service, very polite and welcoming staff and security. Helped me with my bike and explained in detail all i needed to do as self-employed and went beyond that connecting me with women in a business local group to get more advice. Exactly what it should be.
Staffed by liars. Do not believe a word the staff in this job centre say, especially Karen. If they call you try to record the call, they say outgoing calls are not recorded and if of use to them they will make stuff up. Staff laugh when sanctioning a claimant who did not attend.
The job centre is fine in gateshead but the phone line is absolutley ridiculous, the universal credit side of things needs updating to cater for all not just online claimers. All i wanted was to speak to some one in the jobcentre but was flung aout on 5 different lines in a que for at least 26 minutes thanks god its free , just to end up putting the phone down as that song is enough to bleed your ears dry, and the advisors on the line do not have a clue what they are doing. First i was on the phone to speak to someone and after the que i ended up on the wrong line ESA and he said you need to speak with the jobcentre line, so then they transferred me to this new line and again back in a que to speak to someone that told me i was in the wrong line again to be thrown to another que for universal credit, then to find out on automated line if i have a universal claim i should go to my online journel to inform jobcentre of any changes onine what happens if you are not online in which i am but all i needed was some advice about getting funding for an eye test for a job in which i have been offered and i need it for getting through my pre assessment day at go ahead north east, straight back in a que to speak to some one yet another 15 mins not even to speak to anyone and i give up. I never ever phone online t speak to someone and ths once in about so many years think the last time was crisis loans years ago to be tret like a imboseal. Im absolutley disgusted in your company and you wonder why people kick off with you all. 0 rating appauling customer service.
Was 10 mins early to sign yet waited 45 mins to see advisor but god forbid if your 1 min late u are told to go away n come back at 4:30!!! :@
After waiting 30 minutes get cut off all I wanted was to talk to work advisor about a job now probably lose out on job because of this
It's a jobcentre not much else to say
