Great little museum a must see for the motor enthusiast. We were lucky and managed to get parked right outside the front entrance, really nice welcome and a good explanation of what there was to see. The trophy cabinet is fantastic with so much detail and there are lots of interactive bits to make thing a little more interesting. Nice to be able to see the cars as well. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
A small but perfectly formed museum, with a very reasonable entry price, a must for any Motorsport enthusiast who is going to be in the area. Exhibits are well thought out, lots of interesting interactive content for adults and children alike and a fitting tribute to a legend.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
My wife and I visited here at the start of our two-week road trip around Scotland in September-October 2021. We had wanted to come here for a very long time, delayed by Covid-19, and delighted to be here at last. We booked and paid in advance and were given an annual pass to return. Parking is in the street outside and free. We were welcomed to the museum, and encouraged to watch two films which show in rotation. This was good advice, as it reminded us of all "the stories" as well as filling in a few gaps. The museum is actually quite small, mainly three main rooms - a timeline of Jim's career the Jim Clark Room, a trophy room, and a gallery of art. There are three cars in the lobby see my photographs, and a small shop. We were very happy with our visit but don't EXPECT too much.
Small museum with only two cars on show but a really good exhibition showing Jim’s history. 3 good videos covering off his life and schievementsVisited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNo
A must for any motor racing fan. So much info and all his trophies on display. Also 3 cars and other memorabilia! Loved it!
I vaguely remember Jim Clark and so fewer and fewer people will recall him. Only 3 cars to view and all his trophies but not very interesting for younger generation or kids. Think this museum would be better as part of a larger car display or museum.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Excellent museum, detailing the achievements of one of the best ever racing drivers and Scotland's first, and greatest, F1 World Champion. Brilliant collection of memorabilia, trophies, car and video presentations.
Very cheap entry, worth a visit if you're an F1 fan or want to know what the area is famous for! Lot's of information and great displays.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lovely little museum in honour of the great Jim Clark. We went as a family of 12, taking a trip down memory lane for my father who was born in the area. The gentleman on reception Thursday afternoon was extremely friendly and welcoming. A must see for any keen motor racing enthusiast.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
