Used to be called Hugo's and we popped in from time to time for coffees and tray bakes. The cafe has been slightly face lifted and the food service and quality is just as good. I had the club sandwich for lunch, all very fresh. It filled me for the rest of the day!
Popped in for a bite to eat. Nicely decorated with memorabilia of Jim Clark of course. Very friendly staff interesting menu and food is excellent. Cakes looked nice but too full after the sandwich
Fantastic cafe, with fresh food and great service!!Food: 5/5
Having been to the museum you have to go to the Cafe Bistro, although other eateries are available. Lovely staff serving light lunches with a Scottish twist in a very pleasant cafe. All part of the same trust as the museum so felt like we were contributing in a small way. Reasonable prices and quality produce, just what we were looking for. Plenty of parking in the centre of town.
Great little cafe. Friendly staff, fantastic selection of cakes. I also enjoyed my soup. Will visit again.
Went in on my own to wait for the party to join me. Ordered coffee. Sat at table for 4 as very tight seating arrangements. The noise of loud voices was overwhelming! Waited and waited for coffee. Had to get up and ask where it was as waitress was serving others after taking my order.. Told to leave table and sit at table for 2 next to counter where customers were gathering. Finally coffee came. Very very strong. Asked for hot water. Came in tiny pot with no handle. Hurt my fingers trying to put it in after trying to get black speck out of the water first ! Disgusting! Had a few sips when my husband appeared with others to wait for. My husband said ," Let's get out of here!". The noise was unbearable. Left the coffee and left the cafe. Poor service. I am nearly 80 years old. Steps in cafe, no handle to hold on to. Won't return
Great food, lovely service and reasonable prices make this a top stopping point in Duns. Recommend the nachos.
Great wee cafe, sit in or take away. Lots of homemade food available, sausage rolls were really nice. The staff were polite, prompt and well presented. Toilet available for customers.
Been in a few times for lunch and enjoyed each time, portions are big enough for what you pay, although the sharing plate of nachos was enormous! Would recommend if you are in Duns looking for lunch.
Wonderful homemade lunches and sweets, serves very good coffee, great environment
