Great historical building, well worth a visit although their are some repair work being carried out at the moment
It doesn't cost anything to go into, therefore has to be high on my list! It is a well laid out building with several floors. A little bit predictable really with the displays, but a nice place to visit nonetheless.
Only in Jedburgh for a brief visit so only viewed from a distance but would return another time as it looked well maintained and an interesting place to visit
Worth every penny. Superb
Nice clean and informative. I suspect that it may get rather crowded at busy peak periods due to the narrow corridors and small rooms. Nice to have the hand held audio commentry which is only a reasonable £1.00. That plus the free entry makes it a must see attraction when I'm Jedburgh.
Free entrance and great to learn about the history. Good for kids and adults.
An interesting place that you can spend an hour or two in. Not crowded when I visited .
Free museum on the history of the town gaol, conditions in a 19th century prison and life in Jedburgh. Wander round the cells and landings with exhibitions on life in the 1800s, child prisoners, debtors and the Bridewell. Small shop, free entry, baby changing and toilets. Fine views across the town from the top of the castle.
Very interesting and educational and free.
