What an excellent service from both the office staff and the removal men on the day. They all made the stressful moving day very much easier. I would recommend them 100 %

After being recommended this Company by friends, we were left very disappointed, after deciding to use them for our house move last week.

A gentleman came round to assess the job and quote accordingly, and we fully briefed him on the job in hand, which included clearing items in the loft and dismantling a wardrobe and rebuild service......this wasn't a problem I was told.

The day of the move two guys turned up in a lorry, somewhat of a surprise given we were moving from a 3 Bed Semi to a 5 Bed Detached, and we were not travelling light!!! Then the guys tell me that they aren't 
dismantling any wardrobes! So after showing them the quotation, they get on the phone to the office to complain. A senior manager then drops off a tool kit so the guys can do the job!

It was clear half way through the move that the two guys were never going to get the job complete, so lucky we had spare hands available to support them.

Finally after emptying the van the guys left, and told us that someone would be back to rebuild the wardrobe. No one ever turned up!! and due to it being a safety risk to our two young children, we decided to pay someone to come and rebuild it the next day.

I then get a call from the Estate Agent a few days after the move to inform me that all our belongings were left in the loft and that if we didn't go and collect immediately the new owners were going to dispose of our belongings.

After contacting the office to complain, and request a part refund to cover the cost that was incurred to get the wardrobe rebuilt and the loft cleared, I was told that it was my fault because I didn't phone them to arrange and apparently their insurance policy doesn't allow them to clear the loft....!!

All in all not a great experience. I've given two stars purely because the two guys worked so hard. It's unfortunate in this case they have been let down by the pen pushers in the office. Would look elsewhere if you're looking for a stress free service.

Michelle and the team were hard working and careful with all our belongings. They were reliable and professional throughout the whole process. I have recommended Jeakins Removals to all my colleagues, family and friends who are in the process of moving or requiring storage facilities. Thanks again Jeakins Removals.

Was recommended by a friend to use this removal company and couldnt of been happier.the management team and removal men were spot on and couldnt of helped us more.william and derek were more than helpful and made it very smooth and pleasant removal.i would definatly recommend.👍

Unable to give them anything less than a one star rating unfortunately.

Used for a relocation move in Nov 2016.  They almost left some of our belongings behind because they didn't supply a big enough truck! I overheard members of the team slagging off other team members whilst they moved our stuff out - Not very professional at all.

Michelle Jeakins promised we would have our beds erected on the night of moving (written into contract). Especially due to the fact we could not book an overnight stay with anyone as we were relocating with our pet cat and most places do not accept them.   

The other Director, Michelle's brother (usually the driver for one of the Jeakins team) very rude, not adverse to swearing at customers, no customer service skills whatsoever. He and his only team member left myself, daughter, my partner (recovering from a broken thigh) and my elderly father in law without beds for the night.  

They reluctantly chucked our mattresses on the floor and provided no covers/bedding etc and expected my partner and father in law to try and reach down to the floor to sleep which they couldn't do - All of which Michelle knew as she met us all at the initial appointment when we requested a quote.  

Now whilst there are rules and regulations for removal companies to adhere to and they are more than aware of the facts that completion days do  not always got to plan (solicitors and payment wise).  I expected more understanding and empathy from them all.

Very poor service which is why I complained to The Property Ombudsman for compensation and won.  If you decide to go with this company be wary.  Don't accept the company's "good cop, bad cop" stance.  If you are unhappy with the service and their response, go straight to the Ombudsman.   A house move is already very stressful so customers of this company do not need the added worry of using a company that have no respect for the people paying for the service. 

I can't speak for their local moving skills but avoid relocation with them. 

Would never use them again.
