Where to start….I had a meeting at JDB interiors with woodsmoor interiors out of JDB interiors premises. The owner of woodsmoor interiors is the son of JDB interiors. He took £12,000 from me which he insisted I pay in to his own bank account. He was to supply and fit a kitchen, fitted wardrobes and convert my garage while I was away. He had a month to do the job. After 2 weeks I was left with no kitchen, no garage conversion, no wardrobes. My kitchen had been ripped out. The damage to my property was substantial. Excuse after excuse was given and more money demanded. He went on holiday for 10 days after I had handed over £12,000. He caused me and my family an incredible amount of stress. After 6 weeks of his lies and promises we had to ask him to leave the property due to his aggressive behaviour and the stark realisation that he had no intention of ever completing this job. The kitchen company that supplied a fraction of the kitchen he ordered have since disclosed that this was clearly off cut from a previous job. No responsibility has been taken for this situation by himself or JDB interiors, despite the fact he operates out of their premises. I am a single parent with a 3 year old child. He left me in a dangerous situation. My gas had not been capped and the environment was dangerous for my child. He has done this to numerous people and relies on the fact that they do not have the means to take this any further. Do not use these people.Service: Kitchen design
We had a quote to refurbish our kitchen, we were told there was no cost for assessment and computer design drawing of the proposed job We planned to go ahead with the work, when we visited the showroom to arrange a fitting date, we were advised we needed to pay £1000 just to secure the date. Unfortunately we fell for this and paid. Interestingly no receipt, or terms and conditions given at time of payment. A few weeks later our personal situation changed which meant it wasn't a good idea to go ahead with the work. We asked for a refund, this was refused. We then asked if we scaled down the job, if this money could be used towards the work, this was again refused. The owner just kept replying saying he would sort something and get back to us, still waiting 12 months on.Also we offered to let him keep some of the money towards time spent assessing and preparing drawings, but no reply..
This is a very impressive business. I have visited their Poynton showroom twice and on each occasion I was advised by very helpful and professional representatives of JDB.
