We are a JD Wetherspoon pub in the heart of Bedlington, and our doors are open to one and all. Come along and visit us for some great food and drink deals!

Story

The Red Lion re-opened in November 2010 as a JD Wetherspoon pub. Four and a half years on, and we are still going strong, serving both our local community and also visitors from far and wide daily.

Our menu caters to all tastes and contains some great offers - including all burger and steak dishes coming with a free drink, as well as daily deli deals running right up until 11pm every day.

We have some market leading bar offers and have recently relaunched our menu for Spring 2015, with offers including Hooch and Magners cider at only £1.99 per bottle - all day every day.

Yet another nice large breakfast.. ordered extra everything as per usual and they forgot to put my fried eggs on.. was swifty rectified once I mentioned it... Was enjoying my food even though a member of staff went into the kitchen swearing his head off... I will be back again for more!!
Main menu food is ok. Very pricey for the quality.nBreakfasts on the other hand are lovely and reasonably priced.nDrinks are reasonable also. Not bad all round. Just the price of main menu food needs to be brought down to reflect quality.
Having just moved to the area and having our kitchen still in disarray, Dad and I needed to eat somewhere where we could be sure of a good standard of food and this being a Wetherspoons they didn't disappoint, if anything their food standard is higher than many 'spoons I've eaten in.nnBecause they were pretty busy being a Friday night we found the quiet nook the best place to sit and having ordered on the app, our drinks and food came within a very acceptable window of time.nnThis is a pub with actual character and the history of not only the pub but the local area is literally writ large on her walls with pictures accompanied by some written histories of local people on a good number of the walls.nnIf you're passing through, visiting the area or are a local, this is an excellent place to come for food, drink and a good atmosphere.
Such a lovely friendly place I visit my aunt in bedlington twice a year, I'm from Ireland I like to go to the red lion for a walk to catch up on work and have lunch or breakfast . The staff are so lovely and friendly, food is fabulous and service is so efficient
Regularly call for a Friday drink after a busy week teaching at local school. Staff are great, prices spot on and nice bar/outdoor area.
