We are a JD Wetherspoon pub in the heart of Bedlington, and our doors are open to one and all. Come along and visit us for some great food and drink deals!

Story

The Red Lion re-opened in November 2010 as a JD Wetherspoon pub. Four and a half years on, and we are still going strong, serving both our local community and also visitors from far and wide daily.

Our menu caters to all tastes and contains some great offers - including all burger and steak dishes coming with a free drink, as well as daily deli deals running right up until 11pm every day.

We have some market leading bar offers and have recently relaunched our menu for Spring 2015, with offers including Hooch and Magners cider at only £1.99 per bottle - all day every day.

We thrive upon your feedback, so please let us know how we are doing via our Facebook page and we will take all points into consideration.

One great place, ideal for us as we only had room only a few hundred metres away.
Awesome early breakfast quick service
Went into this place as someone who is mixed raced instantly didn’t feel welcomed got funny looks from customers and even some staff members. Staff member Sarah then proceeded to remove me from the pub due to having cider but providing my work id. Even thought they served me the drink. On my way out I was called a end and Sarah muttered ugly and called me an immigrant. I filed a police report and im waiting for a response off them however I don’t really think this is a police matter I was just rather offended and annoyed by the situation.
Yet another nice large breakfast.. ordered extra everything as per usual and they forgot to put my fried eggs on.. was swifty rectified once I mentioned it... Was enjoying my food even though a member of staff went into the kitchen swearing his head off... I will be back again for more!!
Used to enjoy going here but the place has really gone downhill. The staff have always been great but the food comes out barely warm and the flies are extremely annoying landing in your food or drink. Going to have to give it a miss from now on sadly.
