We are a JD Wetherspoon pub in the heart of Bedlington, and our doors are open to one and all. Come along and visit us for some great food and drink deals!

Story

The Red Lion re-opened in November 2010 as a JD Wetherspoon pub. Four and a half years on, and we are still going strong, serving both our local community and also visitors from far and wide daily.

Our menu caters to all tastes and contains some great offers - including all burger and steak dishes coming with a free drink, as well as daily deli deals running right up until 11pm every day.

We have some market leading bar offers and have recently relaunched our menu for Spring 2015, with offers including Hooch and Magners cider at only £1.99 per bottle - all day every day.

We thrive upon your feedback, so please let us know how we are doing via our Facebook page and we will take all points into consideration.

If you want to get the feel for the area, visit this pub. Ex miners, farmers, and travellers. It is near plessey woods and Humford Wood with their beauty and wildlife. The staff are patient and professional and the food is prepared quick. From the entrance there is a view north. Of Ashington and alcan next to the see. There is car parking, but limited, I recommend you park I. Near by streets of the local lidl or Morriston a short walk away.
The chef likes to turn pizza bases to charcoal. I give 2 stars because it's my fault to assume it's fine and the chef can cook pizzas. If there was a next time I would check first to see if was blacker then under the bed. Staff wanted me to return it but instead I put the crust in my art box for my next charcoal picture I draw.
Yet another nice large breakfast.. ordered extra everything as per usual and they forgot to put my fried eggs on.. was swifty rectified once I mentioned it... Was enjoying my food even though a member of staff went into the kitchen swearing his head off... I will be back again for more!!
Visited the Red Lion today and was impressed. This is the third Wetherspoon's I've been to this week. The reason is because John the Clerk of Cramlington need to train one particular member of staff in customer service. We've gone to John the Clerk of Cramlington since it opened and have never been so badly spoken to, however, the majority of the staff there are really nice.
Big Wetherspoons in central area, its a former old pub so fortunately has the welcoming feel of a real pub, a great refurbishment ensures you can fine somewhere comfortable to sit. Good prices on drinks and food, great for a good breakfast too. The town is better for it!
