Unfortunately,it won't let me give no stars. Walked in the young lady was very pleasant. Unfortunately the young man has a chip on his shoulder and the attitude was disgusting. To be fair,he is very lucky,he didn't get knocked clean out, talking to customers like that.
Went with my 11yr old daughter on Sat to get her some long awaited Nike air trainers£115 the assistant was lovely and helpful .After my daughter tried a size 6 and was happy ,it was suggested we also buy "Crease Guards" £10 i wanted them to last due to the cost of the trainers, so I agreed * after making a point of asking if they would affect the fit and should we retry once fitted.* I was assured by the assistant they wouldnt make any difference and she cut them to size and placed in shoe. On getting home and putting on the shoes ....they were now too tight and my daughter has had to remove them.Cant return either due to being cut to size a total waste of money after already spending a small fortune .while the assistant was lovely its disappointing they are missing selling products and should perhaps advice a bigger shoe if Crease Guards are being considered along with stain proofing at £12 it's a costly affair for parents and extras that aren't suitable are not helpful to the pocket x.
Love JD, I get my Grandchildrens trainers etc from here and my husbands too. Lots if stock, brightly lit shop. Staff are great too, usually get what I need pretty quickly but tend to order mostly on-line and collect from the store. There's enough room to get pushchairs around but I'd say a mobility scooter would have problems maneuvering around, it'd be pretty tight. It is pavement level so if you needed to go in with a scooter, I know they'd try to move things around to accommodate you.
Quality products and very good service
I cannot thank your Chesterfield staff enough. I needed some deck shoes. I am disabled and was having a bad day trudging around town trying to find some. I was taken to them and ably assisted I made my purchase within 5 minutes. Thank you ladies.
Tried ordering a gift voucher online, ridiculous! Rang the store....cant buy one over the fone....have to buy online! Can you report for me the online is not working properly.....oh you have to put a review and if someone checks reviews they might just see their website is not working properly...jd you just lost another customer! But actually you dont seem to give a toss! So annoying, useless!
Ordered items online and paid. Delivery was to store. Attended store and collected items. I advised I needed to try them on as I had ordered two sizes as unsure which would be the best fit. Miserable and disinterested manager Tom said grunted that was ok. Approached changing room to be barked at by animated young assistant saying I needed to leave my personal bag outside the changing room. Politely refused and questioned why as it contained my personal effects, including wallet, tablet etc. I was told 'policy'. I pointed out the items were already PAID for?! This flummoxed said assistant who then said 'fine'. I enter the cubicle, within seconds knock on the door from animated assistant advising me again I would need to leave my bag outside the door, the charismatic manager Tom had ruled. I refused again for aforementioned reasons. Approached manager who had originally served me I use the term 'served' very loosely. I advised him I'd never come across a policy where a store demanded that a customer leaves their personal effects outside a changing room, unattended when trying on items already paid for? I asked him to expand on this policy, his answer was simply 'to cut down on revenue risk'. That made me feel very valued and special as a customer. Champion Tom. I therefore asked if they were insured for such a policy, after further deliberation he said 'yes', with some uncertainty. I commented that their premiums must be sky high. The arrogance persisted. So, I suggested as an alternative I simply return all items for a full refund, therefore living up to being a true 'revenue risk'. Tom missed this irony but refunded all items. Out of principle I report the issue to their Customer Service and HQ. This is the best bit; they treat complaints as 'feedback' and so don't reply?! What the actual...I challenge this and they then change their response. I can raise a complaint and a manager will call me back. That was April. It's now the end of June. I have raised it several times by email, phone and post...nothing. I've finally managed to get the details of the area manager also called Tom who I'm told is very elusive. I thought that a strange comment for his staff to make? so will try that, this isn't going away JD! Read the other reviews, are we all wrong? Run by kids with bad attitude who wouldn't know customer service if it was hand delivered to them on a tray. But when you've got an arrogant manager with bad manners what chance do they have?! There are definitely a few P45s overdue in this store.
picked up and returned goods after buying online. Received email with incorrect refund amount. Was told they had keyed it correctly and gave me customer service telephone number
Went here to buy some trainers, although the staff made me feel like i was a serial shoplifter. Then when walking around the store a member of staff stood in my way and expected me to move for him. The staff must have been trained by the worst Customer service Trainer in the world. Products they provide are unique, some can be overpriced, But its the staff that let down the overall experience. Its also worthy to note it is not just this store that suffers with the bad Customer service, i have experienced similar in other stores across the country.
Excellent customer service from Amy today, friendly, polite and very helpful. Always good to be served by someone who obviously enjoys their job. Shop is very well stocked too.
