Another great branch of JD Gym in main centre Wolverhampton, this gym is a one floor layout gym with all cardio machines available as well as resistance machines as well as climbing frames, they also have an excellent free weights area with many pieces of equipment available ie bench’s plates barbells dumbbells etc as well as cable machines and a large cable machine located at the back of the gym. The changing rooms seem to be one of the cleanest of the Midlands franchise, and the sauna seems to be one of the top 2 best saunas in the whole jd franchise in the West Midlands, the parking issues here seems to be sorted but I guess at busy times you will have a problem with parking, you get 3 hours if you add your car reg inside the gym on the iPad located at the front desk, if not you only have 2 hours of free parking before you get a fine sent to your door. The gym is suitable for PWDs and others in that category. The staff seem pretty decent also and the gym users seem kind and genuine, top scores from me and keep up the good work JDs gym your doing an excellent job with the gyms…

Been a member for a little over 6 months and so far, so good. Used a fair few gyms over the years and you have all you need here. Good selection of cardio and the weights section is spot on, don't get me wrong, there's always room for one or two pieces of kit they don't have but that could be the same for any gym. Only things stopping it being 5/5 is the changing rooms don't open until 5am and for someone who trains at 3am, I have to shower at home, also there could be better maintenance of machines as there's handles missing on seat and weight adjustment pegs and some of the seats are now looking very worn in.
Awful experience with the male gym member I believe the manager of the Wolverhampton gym. My son, who came for a trial with me hoping to join after the trial, was refused entry unless he paid for a £10 day pass. Despite my request as an existing member, the gym manager did not make any exception, which meant I couldn’t attend the gym either and we both had to go back home. I understand that policies and rules need to be followed, but there should be some consideration. They didn’t even offer my son to have a gym tour or offer any alternative. Extremely disappointed with their response and customer service. Gym facilities are good but they really ought to hire better staff.
Only giving this gym a 3 stars because I expected it to be bigger and better than my normal JD Gym in Brieley Hill.nnIt’s not a bad gym and it’s got helpful staffs like Liam at the counter.nnI went to this gym hoping it would have better equipments and be more spacious as the gym video shows on the website but it’s actually not that big on the ground floor where all the equipments are.nnI only went because it has a Sauna and my normal JD Gym doesn’t. Also found myself needing to buy water and snacks from the vending machine and that cost a arm and a leg but it’s expected I guess.nnIt’s an Okay Gym but it feels a bit old, and even the dumbbells they have doesn’t have the right feel. Overall, it’s an average gym.nnSince I have a Plus membership, I’ll give it another go but not anytime soon.
